but overall, the game itself seems to be made with so much love and care and i can't wait to start a second playthrough!

it really feels like a waste of potential in the writing department, especially when it comes to such a narratively dark region like Tevinter

characters aren't allowed to have any meaningful negative characteristics and if they disagree with each other it's all sunshine and rainbows after a little talk. in turn, the characters are sweet and comforting, but lack depth

they felt really "safe", with little nuance, it almost felt like the writers were afraid of the characters being interpreted differently than they wanted to (but that's an issue i have with modern writing in general)

overall i really enjoyed it! the combat was fun, the areas were gorgeous and exploring was a joy, i rarely felt the need to fast travel. the way the characters were written most of the time was not really my cup of tea, however
