Lots of companies in Latvia as well! Europe is a thriving spot for POD.
Ah, didn't realize you needed a storefront as well. Lulu is definitely a popular one!
Have you tried PrintHQ? They do both hard and soft cover books.
Congrats on a 3.0 release!
Soon you'll be head over heels for POD (sorry, more puns)
If you're sell or produce print on demand items, check out the freshly-moderated Print on Demand Sky feed! bsky.app/profile/did:...
Introducing a small update to the #printondemandsky feed:
We noticed a lot of low-quality posts clogging up the feed, so we've added some auto-moderation rules to hopefully reduce that going forward.
But did you know that you can also create automations that move orders between folders when certain actions take place? They can be as simple as moving orders once they're shipped, or as complex as your business needs! #ecommerce
Q4 can be a chaotic season in ecommerce, so here's a tool to stay organized: Folders in Order Desk!
Think of folders like physical boxes that hold your orders. You'll know exactly which ones are ready for fulfillment and which ones have been sent out.
Have you subscribed to a higher tier of something but didn't use all of its features? Let's break down what you get with each level of Order Desk to ensure you're only paying for what you need.
Wow! 🤩
Loxley Clour prints books! They're based in Glasgow, though it looks like they mainly offer photo books. www.loxleycolour.com/books
If Amsterdam is okay, Peecho looks to offer non-photo POD books. www.peecho.com/products/books
A lot of print services have different requirements for their image sizes, but generally speaking, that's a pretty high dpi and a nice sized image. Unless you're looking to print a billboard, it seems like you should have pretty good odds with what you have.
Wait this is actually a great idea
Good luck! 🍀
What a great idea
Hopefully more companies will disclose that over time, especially as more regulations surrounding AI are solidified!
Definitely a fair concern. This might help speed up your research—the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certification is used for measuring compliance in this area. Details here: wrapcompliance.org/en/
Best of luck with your search!
There are a lot of great companies that will do limited run or one-off prints, both of which can be great for folks just dipping their toes into POD. Some common ones for "newbies" are Printify and Printful, if it helps! 🙂
Haven't seen anything that explicitly market themselves that way yet, but it's an interesting take. You're looking specifically for a company that doesn't allow AI art to be printed, or doesn't use AI anywhere?
Those phone cases are everything
Print on demand makes art so much more accessible!
Nice shot! Many print labs will accept small batches and one-offs, so looking for one that’s near you (or near your customers) is a good first step to take.
Any time!
Would love to see what you come up with!
There’s also StickerYou right in Toronto. Yes, they sell stickers (obviously 😆), but do magnets, patches, and temporary tattoos (which is pretty cool!)
Best of luck, Liz!
