Definitely, never been one for wreckfests and caution laps. I was actively rooting for that Cup race to go caution-free (outside of stage cautions) just cause it was the first we would have seen in a while and I thought it would have been cool.
I thought the people saying "we need more cautions to make things more interesting" were being silly and promoting artificial racing, if a natural yellow does come out then so be it, but actively rooting for one because "the cars are spread apart" is lame, that's racing, drivers pass and drive away.
Interestingly I thought the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas this weekend was very good, not every single one of them is gonna be a barn burner, sometimes the best car and driver just goes out a dominates the thing, though that late race caution did mix things up, I enjoyed watching before it.
A criticism on driving standards perhaps? Who knows!

When they announced that The Chase was coming back, the very first thing I said was "Tyler Reddick is gonna be a real consistent championship threat now" and I was definitely right but I didn't expect him to win 5 of the first 9 races π
Tyler Reddick posted this video on his Instagram with the caption "This whole Chase format thing is pretty cool."

I always love to see Tyler Reddick win of course but I definitely gutted for Denny Hamlin, he deserved that win just as much and Cody Ware self-spinning to bring out that caution with barely 2 laps to go was ridiculous, would've loved to have seen it go green either way.
I will say that I'm glad to still be hearing the fans cheer when Tyler Reddick gets out of the car after winning while on this run, in days past the fans have a history of not appreciating dominance and they'd start hating on a driver just because they're good.
Tyler Reddick joins an elite list of drivers to win 5 of the first 9 races of the NASCAR Cup Series season, a list including Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough and Dale Earnhardt.
He's the first driver to do it since Earnhardt in 1987.
HE JUST CAN'T STOP WINNING!
