Bit of a hypocrite, aren't we Shapps? Not to mention one heck of an insult to railway workers everywhere - especially to those who were involved in the horrific incident on an LNER train last weekend.

On behalf of railway workers everywhere - f*** off Shapps!

You ask somebody not to do something, and 99% of the time they comply. You ask a cyclist not to do something, and you're nearly always met with abuse.

Granted, not all are like that, but it definitely seems to be the majority at the moment...

"But you're just a nobody railway worker..."

Funny how that's the only response from people when they can't be told anything ๐Ÿ˜‚

Little bit of fun on my part, however this definitely summed up the fun on the rails last week... ๐Ÿ˜‚

A little bit of action on the Portsmouth Direct this morning. 444040 is seen leading 1P19 southbound, followed just under an hour later by @clanline35028.bsky.social working 1Z90 from London Victoria to Salisbury.

Glad to have finally caught up with this one! Southeastern 465908 is seen passing Wandsworth Road on 07/04/2025, firstly solo on 2U28 (London Vic - Gravesend), and secondly on the rear of 2U40 (London Vic - Gravesend).

Such a lovely looking nod to the classic NSE colours!

It is, the XC livery was basically vinyls slapped over the top of the existing Virgin livery.

Such a huge loss to the railway scene, Gordon was truly one of a kind. My thoughts are with his family and friends #GordonPettitt #RIP

Far too relatable... ๐Ÿคฃ

I don't know why I can relate to this so much, but I am not ashamed to admit to it either ๐Ÿ˜‚

I guess that's carried that display all day then, saw that leaving Guildford just after starting my early shift ๐Ÿ˜‚

We do, and that's despite having our modern trains on our network for over 20 years, and other trains with power operated doors for a lot longer... ๐Ÿคฆ

Note to the general public. When using big overground trains, don't just stand there expecting the doors to open automatically like they do on the London Underground. There's a little button beside the door, why not give that a push instead?

That's not too difficult is it? ๐Ÿ™„

When you're not fully awake, get to the station and see your train to work turn up early for the first time in what feels like centuries...

Definitely my favourite livery on a 66, surprised at how well the old blue/yellow livery worked on that ๐Ÿ™‚

You know it's going to be a good day when the local Conservatives get their wish and have this year's local elections cancelled, thanks to Labour offering it as part of their devolution plans...

If I had a choice, I'd be leaving Surrey the first chance I get!

I had a feeling it might have been. My thoughts still remain with everyone involved in that one.

I believe this unit was involved in the level crossing fatality near Liss a couple of weeks ago, the fly doors sustained considerable damage as a result.

I've seen photos and videos of them appearing on the Richmond services, admittedly I've been meaning to get over there to get photos of them. Glad I caught one at Clapham Junction though as I've been hoping to see one there ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, a 710 on the naughty step? Surely not ๐Ÿ˜‚

Bit of an odd one at Clapham Junction today. Not sure how often Class 710s make appearances on Mildmay Line services, so this one certainly caught my attention!

Here is 710377 arriving with 2Y88 from Stratford, conveniently bringing some welcome sunshine with it.

This is one (just one mind) of so many reasons why this sociopath is hated by so many worldwide... and of course those on his skip fire of a social media site just lap it up regardless...

Great to catch this one on the CrossCountry diversions at Guildford. 220005 is seen leading 220014 down the gradient from the Ash line with 1O12 (Manchester Piccadilly - Bournemouth) on 12/01/2025.

First photography trip of the year, and this isn't a bad way to get things started either! 56094 is seen heading south through Artington (near Guildford) with 6C01 (Ashford International - Eastleigh East Yard) on 12/01/2025.

Always a pleasure seeing a Grid in this day and age ๐Ÿ™‚
