Yeah I've got a 1k list all set to build at some point. And edge highlighting is definitely beyond by patience!!

Undercoat, wash and drybrush is my level!!

Ah nice. My 40k Ultramarines are spray macragge blue, nuln wash and then dry brush calgar blue (i think its that one) but I've got some 30k Ultramarines to build at some point and was looking for a brighter blue and this looks the part, and sounds quick to do!

What do you do after that? Is that airbrush as well?

I loved, and still do, reading and watching both Sharpe and Hornblower so when I came across this series that added dragons to the mix and expanded the scope to being truly global it was a must read!!

Im just not the biggest fan of painting so once the models done thats good for me. But looking at them I feel I should do the bases. And I've got some Old World stuff built/to be built that I want to do the bases.
So thinking painting then bases is the way forward as keeping it simple!

Then i realised if it was then the whole thing was massive and a titan!!

OK thanks. That's helpful. So for the stuff I've painted I'll do the bases carefully and for the stuff thats only built Ill do the bases and then undercoat it all! Definitely not a seperate sub assembly person!
