I disagree with the common sentiment that Garland was just trying to have the nation move on. Garland isn't stupid. He knows refusing to prosecute criminal right wing men of power isn't apolitical. It's extremely political. Garland served to protect criminal right wing men of power. End of story.

William Barr is a villain but I believe he actually KNOWS what justice is but CHOOSES to serve his masters. I don’t think Merrick Garland even knows what justice is. He believes powerful, right wing men should be above the law. He thinks he’s righteous but he’s not. I’m not sure which is worse.

Merrick Garland spent his career in pursuit of justice. Tragically, his definition of justice purposefully excludes rich and powerful right wing men.
