People hate AI so bad they’re getting applause for going on anti-AI rants on early morning sports shows. Hopefully people didn’t invest too much in this technology…

Not working for me currently, was before Why blocked me so 🤷
Drowning meme, showing Bluesky leadership paying attention to AI while the codebase drowns, and why's phone dead at the bottom
Joining the skeleton army to batter their fucking ass
like you don't even have to interact with this guy to have core advertised functionality of the site break all you have to do is mildly disagree with his worldview enough to get added to a troll blocklist lol
this is not an acceptable way to run *anything*. how do these failsons get jobs dude
i wasn't using it but it is such unserious site things that access to the Quiet Posters feed, which is part of the functionality the site has advertised on official accounts just broke for 300k people because it runs out of the tech advisor's personal account and he's a thin skinned AI baby
that immaculate vetting process strikes again
Moderation list for the feed "Clowns!" Moderation list to remove posts that wrongly show up on the "Clowns!" feed. Not a blocklist! The clowns FEED captures recent posts with pictures that contain words related to "clown", intended for clown art, makeup and fun stuff like that, but it's easy to accidentally show up there
I'm a very proud member of the list for people incorrectly identified as legitimate participants in clown culture
I do think tech companies are underestimating the amount of
- new account fatigue
- new app fatigue
- useless upgrade fatigue
- terms of service fatigue
"Acting out", e.g gaming until way late, making impulsive purchases, etc is usually the symptoms of an unmet need. Thinking about it as "how can I Identify and meet this need responsibly" instead of "how do I stop this bad habit" is not only kinder on yourself but also infinitely more useful
I’m not anti-AI because I’m anti-tech, I’m anti really fucking stupid wasteful destructive tech. That’s a pro-tech position.
Martina has now deleted this tweet, but there are still at least two other tweets referring to Dr. Upton as a predator that remain.
They've put Copilot in Notepad, Brenda! I'm throwing the computer in the canal!
I actually think it's the final thing that pushes people over the edge. People often get tired/disengaged having to consider the moral or economic quandaries of things, but the everyday relentless annoyance of something in your life can make you a true hater
I feel like hating AI is a many layered thing that keeps pummeling you like Homer against the Krusty burglar.
It starts with the artist theft and taking all the resources and ends with the "stop forcing it into fucking everything oh my god leave me alone"
i swear to GOD no one listens to me.

It's just fascinating to me how the Bluesky team keeps taking active steps to look bad. They don't just randomly step on rakes. They go into the shed, lift the rake off where it's hanging on the wall, carefully place it on the grass, and then step full force on that motherfucker.
Fred from Scooby-Doo unmasking the bad guy at the end of a mystery, in two frames. First frame: Left side: a tied up man in a white featureless mask with eye holes. The caption over him in impact font reads, "SOMETHING I USED TO LOVE SUCKS NOW" Right side of frame, Fred has his hand on the mask, about to pull it off. The caption on him reads, "LET'S SEE WHO'S BEHIND THIS." Second frame: The unmasked bad guy has a pencil thin curling mustache, a pointy nose, and dark hair, with a widow's peak. The caption on him reads, "PRIVATE EQUITY"

I despise with the heat of a thousand suns the way I have to be suspicious of all art I see now while I investigate it's authenticity, because this couldn't be more diametrically opposed to the state of mind one should be in while taking in all art.
Comic: Types of Board Game. [Each panel has a person, a person with a ponytail, a person with shoulder-length hair, and a person with a white hat seated around a table with different board game and pieces on top. (1) Boring: PERSON 3: Each turn, roll a die and move your token. Turns proceed clockwise around the table until we all get tired and go home. (2) Abstract: PERSON 1: Each turn, you can place any number of red triangles or blue squares on a hexagon, or move any hexagon to a... (3) Hyperspecific Theme: PERSON 2: It’s October 2, 1814. The Congress of Vienna convenes. You are each in charge of distributing and lighting candles for the opening ball, which was held at these three locations... (4) Overcomplicated: PERSON 4: It’s a cross between *Twilight Imperium* and *Cones of Dunshhire*, but implemented entirely in category theory. Every cone is a monad, and... (5) Cooperative: PERSON 3: We’re working together to sort these decks of cards using only hand gestures. After that, we’ll silently organize my junk drawer. (6) Branded: PERSON 1: You can play as Phoebe, Chandler, Monica, Rachel, Ross, Joey, or, due to an ill-advised tie-in, Goku. (7) Party: PERSON 2: Each of the cards in your hand has a bad word on it. On the count of three, yell the... (8) Social Deduction: PERSON 3: Remember, per our *find the secret murderer* house rules from last week, discovering that a player has committed a real-life murder does *not* count.

"War Columbo" got me
I remember when Gordon Brown got raked over the coals for privately shrugging off an anti-immigrant racist as "that bigoted woman" with every paper *including The Guardian* being all "oh no how very DARE he???" but I guess it's OK for Mahmood to tell pro-immigrant anti-racists to "fuck right off"
good, productive feminism explains that gender isn't innate and the patriarchy can be deconstructed; essentially telling young women that all men are creeps and predators and will never change is actually just weirdly reactionary and purposeless
This feels like a flashback to the worst of the 2000s. All the 'edgy' young misogynists from back then are now in their 40s and 50s and have podcasts.
Also, if you are truly serious about your anxiety about the breakdown of civic norms due to a loss of faith in the immigration system, maybe don't laugh about weaponising it against your political opponents?
I just, I don't think we should be turning deportations into a laugh line?
Guys, what the fuck is going on?
I'm not sure my French is good enough to understand the full subtleties of Libé's review of the Michael Jackson biopic
BBC BBC FFAGAN SAIN BBC NEWS Reform UK will tell Welsh museums how to present history, manifesto says
Absolutely.
The fuck.
Not.
And any of my countryfolk knowingly deciding to vote for surrendering yet more of our culture to English millionaires who would be happier if we all died are clearly a bigger threat to our nation than any immigrant.
Either smoking is so dangerous that tobacco products should be banned outright, or they’re a matter of adult personal choice.
The slippery slope here is horrifying.
