What’s nice is that Xander and I have been watching the Kill Counts lately so he actually got to recognize something I drew.

I really needed to do that. I’ve been stuck in this loop of being depressed, trying to draw something for the comic, not liking it, getting depressed. Rinse, repeat. I needed to do something low stakes that leaned into a strength to break the cycle.

Every now and then, I think about how we refer to dinosaurs almost exclusively by their genus or “scientific” name, largely because they really don’t have common names. I wonder what names we would have given them.

Listen to that audiobook you wanted to finish.

Curl up with your pet and tell them how much you love them as you give them cuddles.

Make it a habit to find ways to treat yourself kindly in spite of a world that refuses to.

Sure, I could just say good enough and move on. But I want people to actually read my comic. If the first page doesn’t grab them…they won’t.

After a few years off, I am relaunching my comic. I’ve updated a few things but it’ll still be the same goobers fighting ghosts, ghouls, goblins and gods.

Here’s the cover for the first arc: Orientation Daze! I might make a few light tweaks before the comic goes live but I think it’s pretty good!

When I say light tweaks, I’m being literal. I worry David, Celeste, and a few other things don’t stand out against the background enough.

Am I crazy?
