VEP has had quite a busy weekend ๐

The ยฃ500 XC90 has left the fleet. In this final video I discuss the final project costs...๐ซฃ (keep an eye out for some familiar faces too! ๐คฃ) youtu.be/_nmKDeI3-10
New video out today...where I tackle a job my local garage declined. Question is, did I succeed in fixing the XC90's annoying misfire? youtu.be/r9zpY03Wf-s
Coming soon...

The XC90 behaved well enough at the weekend to record a POV drive. It shall be up for sale soon.
My Peugeot 306 alongside the Yugo that is for sale
I was fortunate enough to be stablemates with Sweet, Sweet Mr Pink at last years FOTU, and the attention this Yugo garnered was unbelievable.
A worthy investment.
(Thanks to @indecisiveauto.bsky.social for the screenshot from his video, as I neglected to take many of my own pictures at the event!)
Today just gets weirder...it's only gone and passed ๐ค๐
Off to a good start this morning - MOT test place has lost the keys to the XC90....
Still it's not like I've got a diesel injector to pull or anything...no wait ๐ฌ
So it seems I forgot to post my latest video up on here. The ยฃ500 XC90 is broken again...there's a shock.

Legally, I never have to do this ever again. Elly's last MOT? I'm telling myself no, because ยฃ54 for a professional car inspection is a bargain. Just a sanity check of the underside and brake test make it a bargain.
Uh-oh ๐ฌ
This from the man that regularly tells me I don't need any more Volvos! ๐คฃ
A little milestone achieved today
New video out today where I fix the XC90...well... briefly anyway ๐คฃ

Tea reverberation is absolutely a method to detect a misfire right? ๐คฃโ
Dropped an injector on the way back from Cambridge - I'm done, it's going up spares and repairs shortly.
I think it's lying ๐คฃ๐๐ค
Sorry for the radio silence folks - I deliberately switched off a little in the run up to Christmas. It's not my favourite time of year. XC90 is 'fixed' (video on the way for that soon), and I'm about to start a series where I peel crusty paint off a set of Citroen BX alloys I'm hoping to salvage.
In my experience this is where a modern car has been subject to some form of respray or accident repair which strips away the original galvanised layer - especially if it's round the wings or wheel arches.
I've wondered if the missing footage for this is somewhere in the reels for Star Trek Generations - as the 4ft model appears on the bird of prey view screen very briefly when they arrive at Veridian 3.
Lisa (Mrs Furious) is unhappy Im raffling her favourite car from the fleet! Link here to buy a ticket: raffall.com/405408/enter...
Thanks, there's no sensor in the manifold on mine just the one on the intercooler. Tbh I think it's electrical because the sensor appears to permanently show a fault - it doesn't clear at all.
And tonight's new headache is....a code that doesn't look up for a D5 Volvo anywhere on the internet and is persistent - marvelous.
It was the looks that sold it me to be fair. That and it has a nicer gear change than the Focus ST170 which I'd also considered. In retrospect I wish I'd stuck with the original plan and bought an 18 month old ST170 instead - much better car.
I got rid of it after 6 months and traded it in for a Lexus IS200 - and realised driving could actually be pleasant! As for that Fiesta I honestly hope that bag of shit burns in deepest darkest automotive hell, biggest waste of ยฃ13k ever! As you can tell I really don't have a strong opinion on it ๐คฃ๐ซฃ
Terrible on a motorway, terrible on a back road, any undulating road surface had it all over the place, got looked at loads of times but apparently all 'ok'. Alternator developed a high pitched whine, horrible deadzone in the steering, nasty startup rattle, and my GOD the trim rattles
For me it was this godawful, harsh, twitchy, noisy, rattling, rusty (yes at 3 months old) pile of absolute automotive dogshite. Was an ex Ford UK car & I suspect it may have been pranged by one of blue oval's suits before I made the unfortunate decision to buy it. My ZX Volcane was a far superior.
