Love to wear earplugs at night and still be able to hear the tv because of how loud he keeps it, and then when I DO get to sleep I get to wake up several times when he starts hollering because he can't reach his remote or something else unimportant

THRILLED to be leaving this nursing home and going somewhere seemingly nicer. Keeping my fingers crossed I don't have a roommate this time, but I also can't imagine a worse one than this guy who has had his TV blaring nonstop & screams for a CNA instead of using the call light because he's impatient

Oh having a headphone jack would not stop people like this. Bluetooth earbuds don't cost THAT much. They just have no consideration for others

Come on man, calling these things podcasts is such a scam to avoid paying people who would work as part of the crew for a talk show. It’s a way to squeeze out more middle class people and it sucks

today at the nursing home there is "bible reading," and instead of there being a chaplain, it turns out they just put on a youtube video with VO of bible verses while stock and AI footage plays.

occasionally the little "subscribe" graphic comes up, or an ad comes up for wienerschnitzel or disney+

They all got short legs

The guy who is constantly screaming "help" has been joined by a different person who is constantly doing a Dougie Jones-esque "HELLOOOOOOO"

I understand. I can't take any compliment at face value. It's either they feel obligated to say it or they're lying to make me feel better or something along those lines.

ONCE I am at the new place Tuesday I will happily make the list public again just for you :)

Since I'm leaving WAY sooner than expected, I made the list private so nobody could get anything else. HOPEFULLY all the nice things from kind generous people get here before I go

Also I get to stay there indefinitely until my legs are all better

CRAZY news: Lincoln Villa (the assisted living facility) is able to take me a lot sooner than expected. I'll be going on tuesday.

I should hopefully be going to a nicer assisted living place next month🤞

First night at the nursing home was certainly something. I'm sardined in a room with two other patients. One guy has had his TV going full blast since I got here, including all night. Also had to ask for my medication because I guess they forgot. Heard people screaming "help" over and over at night.
