Life is like that! I made a pullover for my daughter-in-law and it fit me perfectly. I decided to make one for me. I still have no idea what I did wrong. I fixed it but it isn’t the same 😢

Love it. My first two colour brioche was a headband. Actually I ended up making decorative collars for my dogs first, the. The headband for my friend.

I really think I should do a cowl after my current project so I don’t forget how to do brioche. Maybe one with curvy lines to up my skills.

I love the cardigan but I’d leave off the flowers.

I’ve knit with both! Fortunately for me, my husband has no knowledge of the yarn I buy and no concept of the price. No eye rolls.

I frogged the lace even though it wouldn’t matter. Then I reknit & was within 2 rows & messed it up 🤦‍♀️ Frogged that. Got smart & used a lifeline. 3rd time a little frogging to the 1st LL. That was it. Got through the lace after that 🤦‍♀️ It wasn’t hard. Maybe don’t knit w/ 4 hrs sleep 🤔

I love it! That neck ❤️ … never mind how wonderful the rest is.

He made the mistake of taking action during the day. He should have waited until after the sun goes down and he’d be invisible 🫥 (or at lest his paw would be).

The scarf I’m knitting alternates garter st & lace. You add a stitch every other row until you get to a certain number. I read the number wrong for 1 section, knit lace perfectly without an error then found I had the wrong number. Coincidentally the number I missed coincided with the lace repeat 🤦‍♀️

Truth!

Which one? Most of them? 😂 Fortunately, the yarn store that was in the small town I live in moved during Covid the year before we came here. It helps that temptation is farther away. My favourite online store also disappeared so that helps too.

Fortunately for me the Admiral likes to help me knit. He particularly likes making sure the yarn tension is good by testing it.

I was just thinking that yesterday as I was pulling my hair out of my knitting. My hair is really long so it’s not to hard. Fortunately the dogs are terriers who don’t really shed. Unfortunately, the cat has long fur and considers shedding his best skill.

Knitting socks is easy BUT you have to find the technique that works for you (cuff down or toe up, DPNs or magic loop), the heel that works for you (flap, fish lips, etc.) and a yarn that you love. You also have to dive in and just do it. Most people should wait to dive once they swim well.

I love them all! What a fun idea. What’s the pattern?

I did! I found a skein of purple pure wool I’ve had for a year. I’m knitting a small scarf for the leader of the musical theatre group I’m in. We always give her flowers at the performance and I thought we could add this. She remarked the other day that she loves purple so it’s perfect.

Yesterday I was searching in my pattern library for something to knit and I realized I have a few of her patterns. I found one I wanted to knit but I didn’t have the yarn and since I’m broke I have to stash knit and couldn’t come up with the right yarn.

Really like the ones pictured.
