If your Kickstarter video/image is AI, I won't back it.
If your book has an AI cover, I won't read it.
If you're a public supporter of AI use for creative work, I will unfollow you.
I cannot stress enough how offensive I find AI use in the arts. It is outright theft, it is lazy, it is gross.
Figured out webpack last night, feels like some kind of magic technology
Makes a HUGE difference when you'd otherwise be downloading like 60+ little js modules.
found a secondary use for tissue paper easter grass
"Why don't Americans-" The ruling class of America has intentionally disempowered its citizens spread across 3,000+ miles of land and then funded the police force as an occupying army that happily murders anyone who opposes them and imprisons whoever is left as slave laborers. So phone calls it is
"What can Democrats do?"
When the South Korean president attempted to declare martial law, South Korean lawmakers literally fought through tanks and military forces and climbed fences to get into their Parliament building to stop him.
So, you know, that.
i think abscess rat's abscess is finally gone, we just need her to finish healing.

i'm refactoring the installer and ensuring there aren't any weird holes. also taking advantage of namespacing/autoloading so these files can't be loaded in any circumstance that isn't installation mode lol
not what i'm meant to be doing but i'm doing it
why saying that AI is incredible followed by a series of non-loading comments because the vibe-coded site is fucking broken
I don't think I could make a joke better than this
Honestly, the great crisis of our society is the unwillingness of institutions to inflict consequences.
Impeach the president, fire the sex pests, expel cheating students, excommunicate an unrepentant heretic, prosecute the war criminals.
Believe in your institution enough to enforce its rules.

I like that i can just turn it into an .exe file and send it to people
I do Not like how the actions of turd people have made everyone immediately suspicious if you ever send them an .exe file, though
like no please it's safe i just wanna show you this new thing i learned
Started learning C today
It reminds me of python, in that it can run in the terminal, but if it had a funny quirk where if you miscount how long something is, everything rapidly devolves into madness and explodes
will refactor after i have something that works in full at all lol
i might go back and turn the form data into PHP arrays and have the form switcher call in that data when a form type is chosen. then I can use the form itself to validate against what comes in, instead of having two entirely separate turd piles i have to keep track of. would be more maintainable.
if something, somehow, ends up in there that shouldn't be, it has no chance of making it into the database or eventually ending up on the actual website, it quite literally gets filtered out and discarded because there just aren't any slots for anything else.
the system's not very robust, it largely just checks that the data it requires is present, sets the data that it's expecting to new variables, and then runs text through htmlspecialchars and files through the appropriate handlers.
i'm building these other forms for this thing i'm making and my server side validation system keeps repeatedly proving to me that it works
"what do you mean 'bad key error: prod_cat'"
"is there a typo??"
"...oh, i forgot the only non-csrf related hidden input entirely, ok, you're right"
i spent yesterday thinking it was wednesday, what do you mean it's friday, where did thursday go
Fundraiser for librarian Luanne James, who stood up to her rightwing library board that demanded she remove kids books with any trace of LBGTQ+ characters or content.
"I will not comply."
They sacked her and cops escorted her out.
She's a hero. This banned author just donated.
All of this i point out because 98% of the population is cisgender and yall can help trans people by hiring us and keeping us paid because the world is not built for us right now. If anything most of us closet up to stay employed. It isnt fair. Pay trans people imho.
also, build rat bin cage
i'm SUPPOSED to be finishing these other two forms for this website, finishing the code that accommodates their upload types, and then writing the code that takes that stuff out of the database and displays it on the website. and then testing all of it. probably not all of that today, but a chunk.
it's adhd brain hell for me today, none of these are what i'm supposed to be doing
went from reading about browser cryptography to making plans to design a captcha to tracking down a paper mathematically breaking down an MC Escher piece to trying to warp a grid like that in photoshop (i have been unsuccessful in all endeavors) pub.math.leidenuniv.nl/~smitbde/pap...

the nicest thing you can wish upon an artist in 2026 is that their work gains a small but dedicated cult following of kind hearted and politically shrewd weirdos & sickos that keep the fire going. the meanest thing you can wish upon an artist in 2026 is that their work gains a large online fandom
typescript i don't understand what you want from me and your documentation isn't making anything clearer
