He's much easier to listen to when people make him sound like he just sucked a helium balloon. His regular voice is grating. I do wish someone would mimic Sulfur Hexafluoride. Shift the pitch down AND shift the formants down (making the "vocal tract" sound much larger and deeper).
That, my friend, is good enough vetting for me.
To avoid π¨π¦ birthright citizenship during WW2, the Canadian government declared the Maternity Ward of the Ottawa Civic Hospital "International territory" before Princess Juliana gave birth to Princess Margriet, so the birth could be considered taking place in the Netherlands under Dutch law.
It's a longer list than I was expecting. If you vetted them, I just followed all the ones that I wasn't previously following.
Let's go #BlueJays!! At 7:00 pm we will be together again.
βThe Toronto Blue Jays open up their highly-anticipated 50th season tonight at the Rogers Centre against the Athletics, with a number of opening night festivities that fans will want to know about.β
Okay, Blue Jays. Letβs play ball!

What a touching and emotional opening ceremony for the Toronto Blue Jays. Yes my eyes leaked and tears streamed down my cheeks.

You mean Conservative Political Action Conference, not the Cable Public Affairs Channel which is the Canadian equivalent to C-SPAN
youtu.be/ABwk3AAyd4g?.... In wartime we see advancements at a faster rate than we do in peace time sadly. Ukrainians are very intelligent people whom through necessity has adapted in drone technology

Perhaps they are trying to negotiate more direct domestic benefit for Canada. Assuming that US & LM won't give into that. Having 2 full squadrons (16+14), 1 for Cold Lake and 1 for Bogotville, our 2 main CFB fighter squadrons. Is a hedge bet to pivot to Gripens and not get the GE engines vetoed.
The 30 jets (2 squadrons) keep our NATO/NORAD seat. But as a mixed fleet, itβs also a hedge: the more we buy, the less leverage the US has to veto the GE engines in a Gripen deal
It takes time to fully wean off 70% procurement. The goal is to reduce that to 30% and make 70% include a domestic benefit component. That also applies to big ticket items like the subs and jets.
I'll agree that Ukraine should not have given up their nuclear capabilities. Hindsight is 20/20.
However I want to be clear on my framing of the 2%. My actual point for Mark Carney was military preparedness should be the goal, not 2%. If military preparedness requires 3 or 4% then so be it.
Bill C-3 (passed Dec 15, 2025) now recognizes Canadian citizenship through a great-grandparent for anyone born before that dateβyou just have to apply for the certificate. For those born outside Canada after Dec 15, 2025, the parent must prove they lived in Canada for at least 3 years.
In all sincerity, I wish I understood what you just said or mean. I will assume the responsibility for my lack of comprehension.
I'm not sure if you're saying I'm the man who missed the point or the man pointing out the missed point to the other.
If they should sue anyone it should be the FAA or the US Government. The ATC was multitasking due to personnel and budget cuts by D.O.G.E.
I believe the 5% goal (3.5% direct spending, 1.5% dual use) is set for the end of the decade. The 2% is a decade overdue.
Agreed. My point was the irrelevance of 2% spending and more relevance of functionality. Yes, I think 2% will achieve that. I encourage our long overdue increase in investment.
Reaching 2% of gdp in military spending shouldn't be the goal. Having a military that is deployable, equipped with what they need to protect our sovereignty should be. If that coincides or equates to 2% of GDP spending, then ok.
I asked a girl out for a date, she said she wanted me to take her somewhere expensive. So I took her to a gas station π

I saw this image of the wall on the US-Mex border and read the headline. It reminded me of the Soviet Iron Curtain. The Soviets used to say it was to keep foreigners out. On the outside, knew it was to keep their people in.
Is this to keep people out or in?
It's not just you. Although I think Stephen Miller looks less arrogant and more psychopath
Ron, If she had any integrity she wouldn't have been associated with Trump to begin with.
Brampton is currently -8Β°, high winds (my flag has been fluttering fully most of the day), partly cloudy, but no snow to speak of.
