The complacency of being in opposition to try and score goals. I know every party is guilty of this, but for something as serious as war and the ghosts of the past hanging over our decisions to go into the Middle East, I would expect a careful though-out response than whimsically joining the US.
I’m more upset that Starmer won’t take a harder stand and say loudly and clearly that we don’t need the US’s validation to feel like we’re making the right decision. They are not the arbiter of whether we are in the right or wrong and I’m sick of us being patronised by the Americans and the right.
