If there was anybody who embodied collaborative governance and fearless leadership, it was Nancy Metayer. We remember Nancy as not only a dedicated LP member that cultivated our community with joy and compassion, but a dear friend, sister, and confidant. https://bit.ly/4cAuX9m
School board members across our network are sounding the alarm about the theft of public dollars from our schools. As Fox Chapel School Board member Ariel Zych has seen firsthand, the voucher scam is here to take public money away from students and hand it over to greedy corporations.
As states like Florida require counties to sign 287(g) agreements and pressure cities to do the same, localities across the state are resisting.
We know these localities are standing up for what their communities want and need: ICE OUT.

THIS is the power of the LP network – local elected officials coming together to learn from one another and collectively tackle the most pressing issues of the day.
Only together can we resist authoritarianism, protect our communities, and build power.

The Trump Admin is sending ICE agents to airports to “help” with TSA staffing shortages caused by the partial gov shutdown.
Let’s be clear: ICE will only make this situation far worse by sowing fear, terrorizing families, and making travel less safe.
