I haven’t needed a trailer yet, the rack and panniers was fine for school runs in the fall. I did the frame swap to get the shorter seat tube so she sits lower, her helmet was up to my nose on the last bike

I’m planning to use this bike for some light trail riding along with the kiddo, ideally I would have two sets of wheels optimized for pavement or dirt but I just put an axle mounted rack on the bike and that makes it kind of a pain to swap. I’ll have to look more into those for an all around option

I just looked them up, the Johnny Watts 365 actually looks more aggressive than the Extraterrestrials. How did you like them?

Faster rolling than knobbies on pavement, 2.5” volume gives great grip and cushion over rough stuff, sidewalls that laugh at potholes. For my use case they are doing a great job, only tradeoff is they are a bit heavy but I’ll take that over having to worry about flats with the kid on board.
