There are 565 primary schools in the Kent County Council area.

KCC acknowledges that there is a growing demand for #SchoolStreets schemes in Kent.

Since 2020 Kent Highways have delivered 2 school street schemes.

Jemima - We need to make the enforcement of schools streets by camera or bollard easier outside London.

We also need School Street schemes to me more ambitious - larger zones further away from the school.

Good news - Schemes are not a drain on budgets.... they pay for themselves in a year.
