There are days in life that shake you.

I’m shattered 💔 to share that I just found out that the US Government terminated my 2024 NIH Director’s Early Independence Award (~$2 million), threatening my long-promised assistant professor job at Columbia University

This detailed investigation of cortical variability in adults and neonates simply wouldn't have been possible @yrguo.bsky.social 's incredible patience and attention to detail. Cortical folding variability is considerable and outside primary folds doesn't align with functional borders.

Is it really so bad to allow people -especially those for whom English isn't their first language - to use an offline LLM to help them phrase their thoughts? We actually suggest similar in our scientific writing training for students.

So incredibly proud to announce that @dahansimon.bsky.social work on designing surface deep learning models that can generalize fMRI encoding/decoding across individuals and to unseen stimuli will be presented at #ICLR2025. I really think these can be game changing for dynamic fMRI modeling.
