I went to grab text from the @the-ilrc.bsky.social Red Cards today and learned that they've added like 40 new languages since I made PNGs last year! Going through and slowly making new PNGs to add to the set on @archive.org

Ooooh. I very vaguely remember watching that show as it came out, but I don't remember that! I'll have to look up the episode
Thinking about the Knit for Food fundraiser and wondering if a walk-a-thon fundraising model could be applied to knitting/crochet. Crafters sign up to craft during a specific time window and get people to pledge to donate per yard of yarn worked in that window

Love this cross stitch! I think the neon effect definitely comes through
"You still there, Mama?"
Honestly, fair. It probably looks better than a Life Alert, though
Would a nice band help her feel better about wearing it?
The pattern is fully written and fully charted, and comes in a separate version optimized for screen readers and low-vision knitters. It uses a single skein of fingering weight yarn, but can easily be continued to add additional skeins for a larger shawl
Thrive was inspired by a quote from actor Elliot Page, who wrote, "The more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows, and the more I thrive." The center cable represents introspection and self-love, while the branches represent growth and community

Happy Trans Day of Visibility! My newest knitting pattern, Thrive, is live now on my PayHip! 100% of the proceeds from sales go to the Transgender Law Center, and the pattern is a celebration of trans joy, love, and gender euphoria

I bought a FQ bundle for 22 dollars yesterday, containing 10 FQs. As I said, about 2 dollars/FQ. I'm not sure why I'm still arguing with you, though. I'm not interested in buying yardage. My initial post was complaining that there are no longer single stores carrying supplies for multiple crafts
I'm not sure where you're finding $5/yard fabric, or $150 fat quarter bundles. I regularly get fat quarter bundles for roughly $2/fq, which would add to $8/yard, which is very similar to what I see yardage for here
Mine is much smaller than that. 6.5 feet by 9.5 feet including the closet (about 6.5 x 8 to the closet door), and also needs to be my work from home office. Buying bolts just really isn't an option for me
People seem to be missing the point that there used to be a single place one could get both sewing and knitting supplies and now I'm cranky that I have to go to three different places
I just don't have the space for much yardage. Definitely no room for whole bolts. Joann used to have tons of fat quarter batik bundles that I liked more than just using solids
Currently trying to buy:
1. Inexpensive acrylic yarn to make a dog blanket
2. Fat quarter bundles of tonal or batik print quilting cotton
3. Snap tape
And I'll be damned if I can't find a single store selling even two of the three. I miss Joann

Oh, that would be awesome!
AudHD, diagnosed last December at age 33. Halfway through the pre-screening for an ADHD evaluation, the psychiatrist asked, "Do you want to be evaluated for autism, too?" I went, "Oh, uh, should I?" And he replied, "Yeah." 😆
I once asked a TSA agent at the end of the line about a specific rule, got a response, then got yelled at at the front of the line by a different agent for acting on the response
It's not for a cis guy, but thanks

Thank you! This matches pretty well with the guidance I was planning on giving, which was how to optionally move the held sleeve stitches if your full bust and high bust are more than 2" different. As a AA myself, though, I was worried it might be overly finicky for no reason
#Knitsky I have a question specifically for busty knitters. I'm designing my first sweater pattern. Do you find it useful to have more stitches in front than in back when separating the sleeves from a circular yoke? Does that improve fit, or does the drape of the yoke make it unnecessary?

I'm glad your dog isn't bothered by the cold. Mine is. He is far more willing to go out and do all his business when he's wearing a sweater. Without one he's reluctant to go outside and rushes back in after peeing without taking the time to poop. Nobody's forcing you to put your dog in one
