Remember a couple weeks back when it seemed like Netanyahu might be dead? I miss the good old days.

Never thought I'd envy someone living in/under the current Iranian regime, but dammit I'd love to be the one who tells trump to F off about opening up the straight in exchange for some tacos.

I can't remember. Did people talk this openly about 25th amendment-ing Reagan too or did we just live with the fear of a senile old geezer with his finger on the button because we weren't constantly reminded of it via social media?

Ideally the President of the United States and the stupidest person on the planet should be two different people…

When trump passes, who gets possession of the blackmail material he has on the rest of the GOP?

And CBP. Lots of the worst offenders are from there, not ICE.

If I was in the media right now covering President Shitshispants I would demand hazard pay.

They know they only got until the midterms to really fuck shit up or they're all screwed. Hence, responding to an obvious murder by doubling down and doing some highly unconstitutional door to door shit. Strap in. It's gonna be a rough ride.

Kinda weird that media coverage of the feds response to MN is centering JD. Especially after Trump's senior moments at the oil exec meeting and his just staring out the window. Wonder if this means anything or if that's just wishful thinking.

As much as I despise this regime, I have to admit that they're improving their timing a bit. I mean, doing this on the Thursday before the Epstein Files release like people predicted would have been a little TOO obvious.

Damn. The remaining unreleased Epstein files must be REALLY bad.

The Dementia Patient-In-Chief couldn't even keep to the paper thin narrative that this isn't (another) War For Oil. Maybe the global community will have a backbone? Happy New Year, right?

Does anyone else think the Epstein Cover-up is going this badly because Sleepy Don keeps falling asleep during the planning meetings?

There a lot of Chicagoans who would get mad at you for calling it a pie.

Racism aside, the problem with "it's not stolen, it's conquered" is that attitude is nothing but "killing you is an acceptable way to take your stuff" and I'm pretty sure that's bad. "I didn't steal your car, I conquered it" would, uh, not hold up at trial.

I think the White House should throw ironically unaware theme parties every week. Versailles in the 1790s, Romanovs in 1917, Nicolae Ceaușescu in 1989, Caligula at the Divus Augustus in 41…

The United States is currently in material breach of over five hundred legally binding treaties with Indigenous nations. We violated even the treaties we coerced at the point of a sword.

We cannot talk about restoring the rule of law until we acknowledge and repair this fundamental truth.

They were also doing this before the 6pm protest curfew. So even beyond the bad crowd dispersal tactics, they were literally violating everyone's 1A rights.

The "enemy" is the billionaire class. No need to give the ultra-nationalist nationalist narrative of the fascists in power any credibility. That's kinda how we got here in the first place.

As ICE escalates, we can expect them to use the fear of being fired to weaken resistance. And they've already shown documented status doesn't matter that much any more during a raid. So it would be nice to know which corps will gladly throw their employees under the bus.

I'm not a journalist and don't have the capacity. But it would be really great if someone could get some of the larger employers (like Amazon) to go on record about what their policy is if any of their employees get picked up in a raid and miss work.

CW: protester being struck in the head by a pepper ball

Footage I took earlier of the moment Reverend David Black, a regular protester outside of the Broadview Detention Center, was shot in the head with a pepper ball by ICE agents on the roof of the facility.
