'See what your friend Putin has done': Italy's Matteo Salvini confronted in Poland YouTube video by Guardian News

This video from the early days of the war is worth the watch. Salvini who had earlier dressed several times in Putin shirts was collecting PR points on the Polish Ukranian border.

The border officer let him have it.
"no respect for you".

Here stats from finland.
1st is all traffic fatalities.
2nd is same but last few years only
3rd is kilometers driven by passenger vehicles and vans/pickups

Both active and passive safety improvements are real.

3 days ago 0 0 0 0

I like microcars but it's a fact that despite km driven have gone up traffic deaths have gone dramatically down. Modern cars are safer. Microcars are more like a motorcycle in the safety department. We allow those too with, no speed limits, so not sayingmicro cars shouldn't be allowed.

Why doesn't Democratic Party broadly sound like this?

I will not play actual futures but there seems to be a mispricing going on. At least last time I looked.

Can someone advise how to play grain futures. Because I don’t have fertilizer yet and I think grain will go up hella lot. And I need good plays cause planting wheat isn’t it.
And I didn’t vote for the fool, being in Finland and all. But he fuct it for us too.

This is one of the best rants of any kind. "Fisher-Price brutalism" is the best descriptor for this shitheap since #IncelCamino... but there's so much more! Absolutely worth every second of your time. $tslaQ youtu.be/L3oO510dyVI?...

What is this referring to? I am lost.

Unfortunately NATO nations are not very self sustained militarily. I think there has been a real wake up call but it cannot be fixed in a year or two.

Nah, but you can of course read the article.

I think she meant to be bit more constructive and used the "girly jobs" as a tool for attention and emphasis (imo bad idea). Looks terrible written out which should not have been a surprise.

Did you read the article though?

Hey, I just quoted what ex Obama chief of labor dept said.

And I certainly don't think in the form of men's jobs and women's.

Here (🇫🇮) we certainly should be paying more for care jobs and I wish there were more male teachers etc.

That is actually her point.
That there has been big effort to get women into traditionally male dominated fields but little effort to the opposite.
And I doubt it's just about willingness to "take a job" but education to certain fields etc.

The (stupid and on purpose provocative) quote is from:

The quote comes from this person, she was Obama's chief economist for depth of labor.

Or it is "one economist's" problem.

We have had an EV for past 6 months and my wife drives a lot. Like 25-30k miles per year which is very high here. Mostly charging at home. Current charging speeds already make it almost transparent even for the long rides (4h+). And she almost never charges past 80% either.

1 week ago 0 0 0 0

Fair enough. Though it's fair to say that the US car makers have failed on their EV missions so far. Ford's best selling EV is built on VW MEB platform.
But agree on the fast charging aspect. Super fast charging leads to super fast throughput (many vehicles per h) -> 20MW to that charge station?

Capture that says:
Battery-electric cars accounted for 17.4% of the EU market share in 2025, an increase from the low baseline of 13.6% one year earlier. Hybrid-electric car registrations captured 34.5% of the market, remaining the preferred choice among consumers in the EU. Meanwhile, the combined market share of petrol and diesel cars fell to 35.5%, down from 45.2% in 2024

Legacy automakers have lost interest in EVs is very US centric view.
In Europe BEV market share is quite high and growing at decent clip. And ICE car sales are in decline while BEV is up.
Yes the most optimistic projections are not happening but giving up on EVs is not accurate.

So since release of Model Y (in 2019?) Tesla hasn't had any viable new vehicles? Cybertruck is already in sunset mode. Cab a dud.

I mean, Semi will totally revolutionize cargo any day now...

1.3 trillion USD on silly bot promises by Elon, whose promises are practically never true. Makes sense.

I hate having to do the "look, they're normal just like us" post, but sometimes you have to do that when American propaganda tries to convince everyone Iranians are "animals".
