Here’s Doku’s shots and chances created in the first half.

Sat in a cafe today listening to an American talking loudly about Bloody Sunday.

Apparently it happened in 1989 in Dublin and was inevitable after the Irish Army had been goading the British and bombing Britain since the 1940s.

I stepped in. Views were shared. Friendship were not made.

I find this very moving: a 10-year-old Ukrainian boy who moved to the West of Ireland 2 years ago as a refugee, speaking in Irish of his love of playing Irish music

If you think the people who took Tolkien's meticulous notes and appendices and turned it into Rings of Power are going to screw up the Bond franchise then you're a cynical bastard.

INT. WAFFEN SS HEADQUARTERS - CORRIDOR - DAY

Two SS GUARDS stride towards one another from opposite ends of the corridor.

GUARD ONE: Heil Hitler!

GUARD TWO: Heil Hitler!

They both give a provacative gesture that resembles the controversial salute Elon Musk gave at a post-inauguration rally.

I'm aghast that Labour would do this. Aghast. It's a despicable thing to have done.

“My heart besieged by anger, my mind a gap of danger.
I walked among their old haunts, the home ground where they bled,
And in the dirt lay justice like an acorn in the winter
Till its oak would sprout in Derry where the thirteen men lay dead.”

- Seamus Heaney

1980s Dads: An empty plastic bottle? Better fill it with something pop-coloured but poisonous and keep it in the shed.

It's weird. More fuss about this than Liverpool having a goal that was actually given not given and I can't believe it I mean the fucking guy said it was a goal and how the hell could they say it wasn't a goal when they said it was it's a fucking joke

An old Vine animation of mine. Vine captured video when you tapped your screen so the sound is the fragments of what I was listening to as I made it.

A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

‘Move closer to Europe – not Trump’ voters tell Starmer in major UK poll Pressure growing on Labour to improve trade with EU as Rachel Reeves admits Brexit damaged UK

Trump is a feral menace threatening our trade, our security and our democracy.
To NOT prioritise trade and improved relations with our own continent over trying to deal with that loose cannon would be completely mad.
Luckily most of us aren’t. Even in Clacton.

Mark Rylance took ‘significant’ pay cut to get Wolf Hall made, director tells MPs Second series of BBC drama was initially rejected by all the streaming services, Peter Kosminsky tells inquiry into UK film and TV

Kosminsky cited research which found there were 15 TV dramas that “have been green-lit but are unable to proceed” because of cost. “Their subject matter is of particular interest, particular cultural significance, to a UK audience. But they are... not likely to appeal to an American audience.”
