The fact that we are even considering letting this man finish out his term is ludicrous

We've got shirts! Help us raise money for things like informational flyers, transportation, Zoom accounts, and all the other cool fun things that keep our operations operating. If you hate fascism and like getting yippy, get your awesome t-shirt and keep us in the fight today!
Enough with the focus on "peaceful" protest. It's nonviolent, because that's what works. It is not peaceful. Don't undermine our power.
3 elected officials "roughed up" and one disappeared into custody somewhere. If you haven't, join up with a local resistance group.

god willing this will be a quiet revolution
Tariff sound off! What have you noticed getting more expensive? We'll start: coffee that was $9 in March is $13 today. What's yours?
This was $11.48 the last time I bought it
Here's how Trump's budget will effect Iowa. Scary numbers, right?
not someone we want in that role!
Nathan sage has yet to impress me in any way
Trump has threatened to arrest Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers. This is not within the purview of his job. This is not what we, the people, hired him to do. He does not have the right to do this and we will not let him continue to commit crimes without consequence.
Thanks @kcrg.com RG-TV9 for covering yesterday's events and stories!

2 notes.
1. The fact that the district judge deemed the case to have “demonstrated a likelihood of success” is hugely encouraging
2. Where is the statement from the University of Iowa, demanding protection of its students?
Here's why you should keep calling your lawmakers: It creates background noise. It creates one more annoying thing that they have to deal with because every contact has to be logged. It's like jogging a cloud of mosquitos who won't leave you alone.
Don't leave them alone. Go forth, and be mosquitos
Sand in the gears. Getting in the way works. Make them fight for every single thing. They are not all-powerful and their abilities are finite.
Incredible photos from Iowa City's #mayday event organized by our partner organization Escucha Mi Voz! Photos taken from their public facebook page
A situation to watch closely.
The only strategy known to work against a fascist power grab is widespread and diverse pro-democracy organizing. We win by showing up for each other and with each other.
These people are so important to the movement. The people who do the work, pick up the phone, and call us. Doing that for hours at a time, helping us help make change. The revolution is carried by those who do the work.
HUGE shout out to the phone banker who just called me about Medicaid. She made sure I knew what was at stake and then transferred me directly to Miller-Meeks office to leave a message. Way easier than trying to get myself to do it!
This is why we have the courts. 6 innocent men are not in a gulag because individual people worked through our court institution to stop them. The regime tried to circumvent them, and it didn't work. They will try again, and we will foil them again, and again, and again. They will not win.
An EO is not necessarily immediately enforced; however, we at the grass roots must be ready to act should this EO take effect.
It's who stands up AFTER the big scary thing happens that's important. Just one judge refusing to hold court creates so much bureaucratic back up. Stand up, fight back, and know that others are doing the same. This is how we win.
Thank you to everyone who shared their story today on the Capitol steps or online. This is how we will stop cuts to Medicaid, this is how we will stop Trump and congressional Republicans devastating agenda, this is how we will rise.
We need a lot less fear of the present and a lot more hope for the future
I submitted my comment!
YOU have to be the one who stands up. You can't sit around hoping someone else will do it. What if someone else doesn't?
I agree with this in that you should never make a statement without evidence. If you call someone a bitchass loser, that's juvenile. If you call someone a fascist and you have evidence that they are a fascist, that's a fact.
Change is made by millions of people taking small steps every day. You don't have to change the world today. You just need to take your small step
What are you doing to build your community today? Are you starting a conversation with someone you don't know well? Planning or planning to attend an event? Making food for your neighbor? There are so many small things that build up to something resilient
