Very well put, @alexianafry.bsky.social - very well put indeed.
Also. That young quick J M Anderson at Lancashire should definitely be in the frame for the first Test.

We preach Christ crucified, which is a scandal to Jews, foolishness to Gentiles, weak on Crime and terrible for Foreign Policy!
all these universities kept axing medieval history departments as if they thought tyrants beefing with the Pope was going to stop being relevant
This was one of my two favourite layouts at the show yesterday - and thanks for taking the time to talk about thicknesses of cork for the inset track - I went and bought some cork sheets after our conversation and am hoping for some hobby time later this afternoon.
You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch
This quote from Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell has been in my head the last few days
Oh now that is a sublime idea. Well done them.
Oh I've eaten it more than once - in fact, my daughter often tries to persuade me to try it again, in the theory that at some point I'll recognise how good it is. But no. It remains an abomination.
On many occasions. And each occasion has elicited a 'nope.'
There never has been, is not and never will be any need for pineapple to end up on pizza.
All this talk about spaceflight reminds me of this fact. Particularly considering which Thursday it is today
I'm a scenery guy too: I'm looking at it as an opportunity to build a series of bespoke boards to a higher standard than I'd usually go for. Each 'table' can become a fully modelled vignette. I think I'm right in saying some of the scenarios will require buildings, tents etc., even castle walls.
I'm really looking forward to Greathelm arriving. Each player only needs 6 models and the playing area is the size of an A4 sheet of paper.
And that's it? Fantastic! It looks brilliant - thanks for sharing.
That cloak is gorgeous - both the colour and the style. Have you done a tutorial anywhere?
I want all three of these books. Somebody buy me all three of these books before next week.
Please?
What a joyful evening it was!
If you start singing aloud I'll prod you.
I still think about this a lot.
This year’s Six Nations is absolutely ridiculous and I for one welcome the batshit craziness of it all.

This is phenomenal stuff from Scotland. They're absolutely on it all over the park, and making France look decidedly ordinary. #SCOvFRA
I love this - it's like a page from a Rogue Trader-era White Dwarf (and I say that as a massive compliment).
I know many a wargamer who has made their own too.
Can we stop comparing *any* UK leaders with Churchill please? Thatcher wasn’t Churchill, Boris bloody Johnson wasn’t Churchill, and Keir Starmer wasn’t Churchill.
Even Churchill wasn’t the Churchill everyone imagines.
Just shut up about Churchill.
I love my SBL Study Bible for the same reason.

"Christofascism "knows the cross only as a magical symbol of what Jesus has done for us, not as a sign of the poor man who was tortured to death as a political criminal... [it is] a betrayal of the disappointed, a miracle weapon in the service of the mighty."

SAMMICH! A train sign for the town of Sandwich, also ideal for daft decor in a foody place
Saw this old train sign at the auctioneers and now I'm really tempted to put it up in my kitchen
It's lovely - I'd definitely recommend getting youself a copy. Could you read a couple of days a day to catch up (if that makes sense...), or would that feel like cheating?
Damn it I can only do three of these four.
Two questions for you, Bluesky:
1) Should I complete the set?
2) Which one am I missing?
