Pan America Life Stage at the new Goldring Woldenberg Riverfront Park on the Mississippi River. The stage is to the left, the audience is in festival chairs and standing on a concrete plaza in the middle and right side of the photo. Behind is the river and the blue sky with clouds. Arsène DeLay (vocals and guitar) and Charlie Wooten (bass) are visible onstage with keys and drums just out of view.
Erin (Pink) Mosley and friend Candace Oxendale Fowler dance on a concrete plaza. Pink is waring a colorful blue green and yellow long sundress with purple sandals and Candace is wearing flowy grey shirt and black and while patterned pants and sandals, with a fabulous blue and black Kabuki (Tracy Thompson) straw hat. Behind them you can see other festival goers and the Goldring Woldenberg park. Photo by Elisa Speranza.
Krewe Eyewear stage on Royal Street during French Quarter Fest. The photo is taken at 0.5x with the Ultra Wide Lens looking upriver. Buidings flank the photo to the left and right, with diminishing perspective. You can see office buildings of the CBD in the distance. A large red and black parasol held by a fan seating in a festival chair dominates the center foreground. The stage is mid-distant on the left of the photo, facing toward the lake. Everywhere else in the photo is people filling the street and sidewalk for the set. Nanci Zhang (vocals) and Josh Paxton (piano) are visible onstage with drums and bass behind them.
Jackson Square during French Quarter Fest. The photo is taken from the riverside at the top of the steps. St. Louis Cathedral is just off center in the photo and the park is full of people and tents. The sky is white with cloud cover and just a bit of blue sky

Two monarch caterpillars on a native milkweed plant
I have a small army of monarch cats at various instars on my white milkweed and I hope the buffet is big enough for them all!

From under a covered pavilion, misters and new landscaping are in the foreground and the Mississippi River and bridge are in the background. A few people gather by the river.
A covered seating area with modern yellow and stained wood benches. In the background is a children's play area and a lawn on top of the levee. A few people gather on the left for free coffee.
A lawn with newly planted tress and grasses with hammocks. The Mississippi River and bridge and downtown New Orleans skyline are in the background.

I just did the same thing a few days because I was convinced it was all glitter down in there. ✨ #NOLAsky
I looked into it and decided against it for reasons having to do with my specific set up in an old house converted to condos. But what I remember is that you do have to talk to heat pump specialists and not an old school HVAC person. Of course you get bias either way, but then you can compare.
It's the same for us all. The awful feeling when we've done something *foolish.*
And yet, in that moment is a world of opportunities.
In this article I link to a wonderful piece about Philippe Gaulier, the famed theatre teacher.
He died earlier this year. So I'm reposting for April Fool's Day.

A cream colored block building with red shutters and some writing on the wall.
A few love letters on the wall at the quiet and shuttered Checkpoint Charlie's this morning.
Losing a mainstay of New Orleans is always tough, and yet as I walked by, the R.I.P. made me laugh out loud. (Zoom in.)

Two New Orleans Black Masking Indians in full suits. The suits are elaborately feathered and beaded, one in pinking yellow, the second in red and yellow. They stand on a street corner with someone taking a photo. The early evening sun shines on the scene with long shadows on the pavement.
Driving through the 7th Ward with my friend @elisasperanza.bsky.social and we saw some real pretty Black Masking Indians out in their suits for St. Joseph's Day.
Also thanks to St. Augustine church in Treme for hosting a St. Joseph's altar today.

Innovation Horizon 2: the bridge between everyday innovation and radical innovation. Here are the essentials in just 90 seconds!
The newest video in my popular series on Innovation Leadership.
Please also note the feature to rate of the potholes from 1 to 10, reflected as the size of the red dot on the app. When I picture this I can't stop smirking.
What's a 10, exactly? Sink Hole de Mayo on Canal Street a bunch of years ago? There would be so many contenders to set the scale.
Pothole history! I love it.
In her marketing plan she included: attaching flyers as part of pothole decorations
🤣
At New Orleans Entrepreneurs week, there was a high school idea pitch.
In the audience we decided the dance krewes might benefit most from Pothole Pal: the pothole mapping app.
Imaging linking Waze to the Look At This F**king Street on IG. Brilliant.
