I’ve only had one. Life is too short for mediocre pies.

If you’ve ever had a regular average pie and wondered. What if this was more expensive and considerably worse then you have Pie Face.
On the return trip my eldest got a chance to skipper the boat which was also a pretty cool experience.
We then spent an hour walking around the Pieman Heads. It was very windy and exposed on the coast but very spectacular.
Today we headed back to Corinna and went on the Pieman River Cruise. The river is spectacular with Huon pines and plenty of sea eagles.
Last night we went out to the spray tunnel and got to see the glow worms. It was quite a difficult place to find after dark but well worth a visit.
It’s an amazing journey but devastating to see how much of it has been destroyed in recent years by bushfire and the road is in a really poor state of repair. Looking forward to the trip to the Pieman Heads tomorrow. It’s one of the little pockets of Tasmania I haven’t been to before.
It does end on one of the coolest river crossings in Tasmania. The fatman punt over the Pieman River. Tomorrow we return to do the full day Pieman River Cruise.
Travelled to Zeehan today via the most rarely travelled road in Tasmania, the Western Explorer. Spectacular scenery but painfully slow There is a 50km stretch that takes nearly 2 hours to travel with narrow twisty corners full of large potholes and ruts.
It never ends well for the cow in situations like this.
Everything is more expensive down the west coast of Tassie but I didn’t realise it was that bad. Will have to up the budget a little for next weeks trip.
The cats are struggling to adjust to the addition of a robot vacuum intruding into their peaceful world. Not as scary as the normal vacuum but needs ti be viewed with suspicion.
How have you gone sourcing custom wood for the woodheater?
It could be worse. I didn’t time to pack any lunch so I’ve been reduced to foraging for lunch.
Social media is dying because its own greed killed the glue that held it together. When Twitter started to die I didn’t move from being an active user on Twitter to being an active user on a new site. I learnt to live without it and I moved to gaming but also real life hobbies.
My mother is still traumatised from having a euphonium playing neighbour while she was training to become a nurse. The euphonium and night shift weren’t very compatible. In a weird twist, her granddaughter is now dating the grandson of the euphonium player.
It looks insane if it’s all in one meal. I can only get there if I have salad for lunch, snack on carrots and celery during the day and even then, 3 serves at the evening meal is a lot. Probably achieve that 3-4 days a week. Rest of the time it’s under.
Why is the worst and dumbest thing to do?
My teenage son was filling up his car while the attendant was adding a price rise into the system and it accidentally wiped all trace of the transaction resulting in him scoring a free tank of fuel.
No sign of any construction there yet.
No idea
Yep
I see the point you’re trying to make but I think you underestimate the dumb way that dumb people will use AI to actively make themselves dumber.
There’s two things that New Zealand seems determined to cram into every product. Feijoa or cranberry. However, I don’t blame them. Fresh NZ feijoa just taste so much better than the ones I can get back home.
I get that this is an incredibly niche complaint
One of the things that irks me traveling between farming areas with strict quarantine rules (Tasmania to NZ) is they make such a fuss at the airport over the tiniest speck of dirt but neither have installed boot disinfectant stations to deal with the prospect of unseen pathogens.
My competition pumpkins are coming along nicely*
*goat for scale
I think you have the wrong idea about dying country towns. They would have left you alone and shunned you once but now they are very aware they are dying an will want to interact with you and get you involved to a level that would be anxiety inducing to your average city dweller.
No love for their Sesame Street song then?
Whenever there is a major bushfire people ask why they don’t do more hazard reduction burns but when they actually do hazard reduction burns the smoke from them is a major issue. This is from a small burn 80-100km away.
