Thanks! Another place for our visiting list! I looked up the village and found some smashing images; the village looks like a lot of Northern places; beautifully kept, like the people really care about it.
IMO the people who describe the North as 'grim', are people who've never been there π
You're bang on re: the accents up there. There's such a variety!
Ooh, I love all the Yorkshires π
So many bits of it remind me of South Wales, where my roots are. Stunning valleys, sheep, closed-down pits, and the people are salt of the earth π
Dark Chocolate FTW!
If I'm not dunking, I like a plain Digestive with a bit of Stilton and a blob of Branston pickle. Dark chocolate ones are nice with strong Cheddar π
Rich tea = good s'mores. Biscoff = good cheescake base.
Supermarket brand dark chocolate gingers = Best for dunking in coffeeπ
If you don't mind me asking (I'm very nosy), which county is that?
Worcestershire's got its share of accents/lingo, but Shropshire more so. Some counties have different names for bread products in every town/village. Makes me proud to be British π
π― agree with you there π
Aye. He knows his onions.
And his biscuits.

One of my fake guesses at his 'mittle-europa' accent was because of this German guy's reaction. Some of her attempts are a bit overcooked IMHO but others are pretty good.

Of course I do - I didn't come down in the last shower, you know...π
But all due respect to you for owning your mistakes, and leaving your original comment up. Thanks for the giggle π
As promised, here's Peter Kay explaining the role of the Hobnob in the ancient British art of dunking π
www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsTJ...
Can't place this bloke's accent - Newcastle? Or maybe Bangor? π
If my non-Brit followers are also wondering, the Great Digestive/Hobnob Debate is well and truly settled by Peter Kay in the video I posted in replyπ #VeryBritishProblems #British #Biscuits #Hobnobs

It might be a very small rug...
Bugger. I was hoping someone would point him/her out to me.
I think it's the elephant in the room.
I'll talk to them about it next time I see them...
it's a sellotape dispenser, with a rough drawing of a flying saucer stuck to the end of the tape. Caption says 'UFO caught on tape'. Apologies to all of you who rely on alt text, this one's a bit too visual; it's lost in the translation. I just had a thought (worrying, I know, just bear with). If you see a UFO and identify it, it becomes an FO. If it lands, it's just an O. You did well to get this far. I bet you wish you hadn't bothered to hang around for that last bit!
This bloke has surpassed himself by shaving his beard until it winds around his chin and joins his moustache to make the shape of a cat's tail. He's even added some dye, t make black and grey stripes. It's actually quite convincing. I sometimes wish I could grow a beard so I could do all kinds of weird and wonderful things with it, just for the craic. But it usually loses it's appeal when I think about adding the need to shave every day. As if we women don't have enough to put up with like periods, menopause, the patriarchy etc...
*Fanfare* - And now, after far too long, that sound tells us it's time once again for
β¨ #BeardOfTheWeek!! β¨
I lift these images from internet image searches, and there's rarely any way of identifying who posted them, so I've no idea whose living room this is, what the cat's name is, or what they've got in the vinyl and CD collection which can be seen against the back wall of the room. There are a couple of patterned rugs - what we in the social care profession refer to as 'tripping hazards' - on the floor. Just above the centre of the shot, a smoky grey cat lurks under a small light grey doormat, which isn't big enough to cover their arse and tail. The look of determination on their face suggests they are fully convinced they cannot be seen.
It's been two months since I posted one of these!
Spot the Cat - Difficulty rating - Epic:
This one's proper hard - No clues, first to find wins the Star Prize.
PS. No cheating via the alt text exploit; that's for them what really needs it!

Jokes about white sugar are rare. Jokes about brown sugar... Demerara.
Mornin' all π
Fast and Loose was never actually cancelled, it just ran for one series in around 2015 and they just never made any more.
I reckon it's worth another run. This kind of comedy is ageless π

Brilliant! I started binge-watching 'Fast and Loose' on BBC's YT channel. Some comedy gold on there. Sadly, it only ran for about a dozen shows, and they never made any more π
Torn was originally co-written and performed by Anne Preven. Imbruglia's cover was more successful though.
