This should be fixed going forward, I just failed to include fire weather days 3-8 in my plotting script, sigh.

Thank you, will let you know once I figure out what I broke.

I don't believe I have anything specifically for that. A manual query indicates many, many others larger.

I am old enough to remember you saying Illinois Tornadoes >> Iowa Tornadoes, but you seem to be doing way more virtual storm chasing in Iowa than Illinois these days, just saying.

Reading some of the SCNs hint as to why this happens.

No, they are after a gambling edge for wagering on ASOS temperatures. The verbiage talks about they need lower latency METAR data.

The horrors continue. Now there are LLM/Claw skills auto-sending me emails after auto provisioning LDM in the cloud. The emails are near identical with em-dashes to boot. Sigh. My 25 years of attempting to helpfully respond to each email I get is about to end. Just screaming into the void...

What type of API response are you looking for? generally, the SPC website works great for things like geojson, kml for the latest outlook.

Thanks, reported the PTS issue to SPC.

Thanks, are the counties necessary? :)

Your map skillz are second to none, but these small yellow dots overtop the light green shading with the county lines are near impossible for me to see...

I tried to compute this with my database and found too many bad data points to come up with an authoritative answer :( There are a couple of NC Outerbanks and South Florida outlook slivers that likely had a higher ratio, but hard to tell for sure.

I don't know of a 100% solution for this. I think generally Trace snow should be excluded from most any analysis due to inconsistencies with reporting over the years.

NWS Record Event Reports (RER) product counts by month

NWS Record Event Reports (RER) product counts by month

Kind of a backwards indicator, but a monthly accounting of what my database holds for NWS Record Event Report (RER) text products. Note 1 RER does not equate to 1 Record Set and many other caveats with this. Anyway, this chart nicely shows how epic March 2012 was and see what this March does.

Thanks, I should clean that up. I think it is just saying 1960 represents the winter of 1960-1961.

Looking into the NBMv5 upcoming changes and seeing the text bulletin examples appear as PNG screenshots is not a painful irony lost on me.

I got so excited a year or so ago when NCEI released GHCNh as it had a bunch of data prior to what ISH had. I ingested it and have regretted it since. yeah, that start year setting exists for this purpose. I have done some manual cleaning for this site as well, but uffties.

X reinstated the account, but no details on what is going on. So the bots will stick around there until the NWS leaves, for now...
