For the cover of the April 13, 2026, Future Issue, the artist Christoph Niemann depicted an army of machines filling the horizon, one of whom cradles a human in its hand; that person is happily reaching toward a screen. “A.I. seems to evoke doom,” Niemann said. “Not surprising since the dominant narrative has been that A.I. is mainly good money for investors and a good excuse to fire employees.”

I really can't believe how we don't talk about the incredible amount of bias baked into modern models nearly as much anymore, when egregious examples are _everywhere_.

The other option: he’s wrong. If you account for the real world events that cause a temporary major jumps, it’s still healthy growth rate. It would be great if it’s better but it’s not dire. I’m not doing a detailed counter analysis but the sky is not falling.

Help & Complaints | Commission for Communications Regulation

Sounds like definitely connection then. I’d check the promised speeds and try getting money back. Definitely submit a formal complaint. If no action (~2 weeks) escalate to ComReg www.comreg.ie/help-complai...

So… have you confirmed that it’s the connection and not your wifi router itself? I’m suspect not but it can be.

Thank you - more to dig in on! That said, still seems ‘fine’ (emphasis on ‘seems’):

Mid-2024: 190,000 unique likers
Start of 2026: 1.1M unique likers

In-between that: major influxes due to Twitter/X mid-steps etc. Feels like things just settling now imho.

I haven’t dug into the 100s of replies that may or may not cover this: this person *might* be correct, but you can’t draw a conclusion from one specific interaction data-point. What if Replies are on the rise (or not) etc? There is more to it.
