I do sorta wish Scholar did EVEN more though at times. Like hell I would have loved the Pursuer to fuck with ya even longer.

I really like Scholar and 2 in general, I think it's probably the easiest to just pick up and play again. Though I do think some of the talk around 2 feels like an overcorrection from how it was first received.

Regardless it's got a lot of bosses I love and strong DLCs... Mostly.

I think DS2 is just even more obvious with that having a whole other edition of the game come out and change stuff yet again. (Which kinda consisted of adding more dudes to jump your ass)

3 was a mess as far just slappin certain bosses into locations though.

Tbf literally all these From games have mechanics and directions completely scrapped and boss/enemy layouts finalized WAY later into dev then people realize too. The DS3 creating your own bonfire thing comes to mind.

DS2 is still a very good game but they've all been adamant with the success of Elden Ring they needed to sorta stumble through a lot of that to actually get the experience.

Wasn't Miyazaki's "interference"basically needing to come in and actually get the thing finished and shipped?

He was already focusing on bloodborne at that time when the game kept scrapping stuff and completely redoing sections to actually get it done.
