Years ago I decided that taking one day off after travel to recover, do laundry, etc, was an overall gain in work efficiency for the week following a trip. I highly recommend this strategy! Also I am terrible at actually implementing it and I may need to file a formal complaint against myself.

Mine wasn’t as good as that, and I knew a bunch of folks that died—and more crucially, a bunch now devastated by Long COVID—but yeah, personally I was able to work from home with a reasonable schedule and have time to spend with my amazing partner and still have time to keep the house clean.
I know, I know, they thought of that and counted on it and see how much money this will make anyway… but whatever, I’m still right 😜 . Perception trumps reality in this domain.
Not saying people can’t get invested in more, of course they can, but spreading further outward as opposed to say… moving on to the next 3 new primary folks… was never going to work out long term in terms of audience investment.
I’m not disagreeing on this or the points you raised further downthread, but I gotta say that interconnectedness with like 3 characters plus some others is way different from juggling… however many you want to count as primary in infinity war etc. and that was specifically loved AS grand finale.
Or more to Frakes’ point, it might be a tad ironic to celebrate a big anniversary by cancelling everything rather than having something honorary on air, but I don’t think it’s particularly bad for the franchise’s longevity even slightly.

But I think a lot about that… let’s say pet peeve: being set up for a situation where I (or anyone) look like an ass no matter what I do, that the scenario has been constructed to prevent any outcome from registering as anything other than “what an ass”.
Luckily it sorta worked out, but the fact that they’d jump to that blocking in the first place, kinda ruined the friendship.
I still had some expensive headphones they’d loaned to me. So I did the unconscionable thing of jumping onto another channel to contact them to apologize for the miscommunication and try to give back the headphones. A truly no win scenario.
I got blocked by what I thought was a good friend for saying “read the article” and the thought I was instructing them to do so when I meant I had done so. Reed vs red. I should have been more careful with wording, but still can’t believe they’d go straight to blocking, presuming I was being an ass.
