I’m working on the next Corvidae Guard book.

I’m reading The Void to get back into my Corvidae Guard voice. I don’t know why I love him so much, but I do.

I have officially handed over I’m Not Sorry to my proofreader. 🫣 Soon I will reveal the beautiful cover and once I chat with my formatter, I will have a release date. OMG this is really happening. 😭 This book means everything to me.

I’m working on final edits for I’m Not Sorry. This is the biggest book of my writing career. It’s a new genre for me and what a journey it’s been. I’m anxious and proud and excited and…all the feels. I might cry or vom (maybe both, but hopefully not at the same time 🤞🏻) when I publish.

While working on the next Corvidae Guard book, Night Blood Hunters, I realized in order to get the voices right, I need to skim The Void. I thought I could just dive back in, but I’m doubting myself because I’ve been out of this universe for a long time. The Void was published in 2023. 😳

When your editor messages you with this goodness. 😭 I’m so happy. I’m Not Sorry took a few years. I’m super proud and anxious at the same time. 🫣

Me: Time for sleep (turns off light)

Also me: Ah yes sleep— Wait! (grabs phone and emails notes for a scene)

Me again: Now it’s time for sleep— Goddamn it! (grabs phone and emails notes for another scene)

At least the ideas are hitting me. #writerlife

Today while writing I realized a couple of chapters in my outline aren’t in proper order and I need to add scenes. I’m only on chapter five. 🤣🫣 I suppose I should’ve studied my outline for a while before starting but my excitement though! I tried!

I’m trying to plot the next Corvidae Guard book, but another book that has been in the back of my mind for close to a decade keeps staring at me through the depths. So now, I have sticky notes on my wall for one book and a basic outline in a notebook for another. 🫣😵‍💫

Me trying to organize my thoughts and plan my next book while the duct cleaning service is here. 😵‍💫 At least they’re nice and doing their best to not be disruptive.

Now that I’m Not Sorry is with my first beta reader, I’m starting to map out the next Corvidae Guard book. Yes, I use pencil because your girl makes loads of mistakes. We’ll see what happens with what I map out versus what the characters decide to do. 🫣
