The chapter also has in-person meetings in Sydney, which I’ll try to get to one day. I’ll definitely be a regular attendee at these sessions, though.
Not just because of the beers, but it doesn’t hurt.

I got to see some really cool games in the early stages of development. I gave some feedback about what I liked and what I’d like to see more of. I even volunteered to playtest someone’s game.
I also had a couple of beers. I’m not sure if I was the only one, but when in Rome.
Last night I attended my first virtual Beer & Pixels event for the NSW chapter of the Independent Game Developers Association.
It’s a regular get together where developers share their work and get feedback.

This month I’m filming a behind the scenes documentary about putting together my next video game fan trailer.
Here’s a sneak peak at the selection process.
Which game did I choose? You’ll have to wait and see.
The next issue of Late to the Party will also go out this week. This week I’m covering the indie game, Thank Goodness You’re Here.
Time to get to work.
I’m working on a new video game trailer and a BTS doco, because I’m obsessed with 2 Player Productions and Noclip’s gaming documentaries. I’ll post some clips during the week from the footage I’ve captured.
I’ve also got a trial video project for a UK company. I’ll put the finishing touches on that, send it off and cross my fingers.
No time for a clever video this morning.
Got a bunch of new AI articles to edit and make sound better. I’ve also got to get these articles ready for publishing, meaning adding images, internal links and citations.

100% agree. Sure, some of the cut scenes are movie length but there are plenty of gameplay moments that have stuck with me since the first playthrough.
Fin?
Finally finished updating my website. There will be more tweaks in the future I'm sure.
Take a look and let me know what you think.

I used a couple of clips from the original trailer as I struggled to generate boss battles in the game. I also had to use stock sound effects, because the in-game ones had music playing over the top.
As always, feedback is welcome. Enjoy.
Wren’s Resurgence already a pretty good trailer that I drew some inspiration from. I tried to level it up where I could by building the intensity as the trailer plays out.
My new fan trailer is out now.
This month I chose Wren’s Resurgence from Soliloquy Games.

Each week I review a TV show, movie or video game that has already been talked about to death, but I’m just getting around to it.
My interview with the devs of Obsidian Moon is now up. Check it out 👇
I had a quick playthrough over the weekend to get a feel for the game and started putting ideas together in a storyboard. I'm capturing those images today and unlocking more levels, so I’ve got a good variety of shots.
Better get back to it.
You play as a biomechanical aquatic creature, dodging enemies and solving environmental puzzles to escape the dangers of the deep dark sea.
I swear I’m working.
Today, I’m capturing some gameplay for my next trailer project.
The game is Sinew. Odd Critter Games developed it with support from the Australian Government and Screen Australia.
Let me know what you think. Did I miss a typo? Is something missing? Does it need another makeover?

The home page, content writing and content editing pages are just about right. I’m sure I’ll make a few tweaks here and there. I've added new portfolio pieces from Video Game Town and The Fold. Once my third video game trailer goes live, I’ll update the video editing page.
