‘It’s fun’ means it’s enjoyable in a light hearted, not heavy way. ‘Funny’ means comedy as you say.

It frustrates me because it shortchanges their story but also because Junior is so good at portraying complex emotions. It's a joy to watch him. We have been robbed of what could have been!
