On Sunday at Brooklands Pleasure Park, this Water Rail put on a spectacular show, feeding just a few feet away at times. It's not often you get such close views of this shy bird.

Last night at Medmerry, this 1stW Least Sandpiper put on an impressive show, feeding at the water's edge as the tide receded.

Probably the best of the superb gamebirds seen in #Sabah, #Borneo, was this male Bornean Peacock Pheasant. One of the best of an excellent and secretive genus, and a species that was so hard to see until recently. #worldbirding #birding #birdphotography
