As a mom who just sent little ones back to school and as a woman of faith, I am devastated that yet again children are dead and more are fighting for their lives after being gunned down at a church and school. How many more of our babies must die before Congress gets weapons of war off our streets?

Back to school should never mean back to school shootings. This is the devastating reality of America’s gun violence crisis—and it will not end until lawmakers take meaningful action.

I'm not loving a country that pays its adults half as much to teach children to spell as it does to kidnap them.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

People💙America lost out on having 2 well educated women, who were ready willing and able to lead !! Two women, who were capable to lead us In unity and prosperity!! But due to misogyny and racism, a few deplorable’s voted for a rapist who’s a crook ! Now, we’re all suffering🤬

Hortman's home after a lawmaker who lived nearby was shot and found a "police vehicle in the driveway with emergency lights and what appeared to be a police officer at the door coming out of the house." He was actually the gunman.

I am devastated by the loss of Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, in a horrifying act of violence. Our prayers are with their children and all who loved them, and with State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, who were also targeted.

I campaigned vigorously for Kamala Harris. 🗳️
