Today's Art4Action looks a little different than usual. These are 4 different collages made by 4 different young girls at a science fair event we did last week here in Edmonton. All 4 pieces showcased very different feelings of love and fear for the world, its climate, and current situations.

Call for Action 7 covers the importance of funding child initiatives. Adequate funding supports student programs and lets the flourish without fear of instability and to simply focus on their mission. Without financial support, great minds may lose out on great opportunities. 🌏❤️
We often think children are too young to be included in the decision-making process but the truth is, it is exactly their future we are making decisions about. Not including them in that process is denying that fact and losing a unique perspective of the matter. All voices are important!
A few months ago at COP30, one of our CGE students, Carter Mochinski, had the oppurtunity to speak with the Deputy Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, Ms. Noura Hamladji. It is so incredible to hear her words of support and belief in our mission here at CGE! 🌏❤️

In order to effectively combat climate change, we must understand it. What better way to do so than to study our environments directly? When we are outside learning, we grow our relationship with nature and we learn things we couldn't inside. The issues become clearer and so do the solutions! 🦋

Climate change is a complex issue that requires complex solutions. Children know this. Leaving them out of the conversation leaves them helpless, without the tools to provide remedies in their local areas. Call to Action #1 of the Global Children Manifesto is to make climate education a right.

The Decarbonize Manifesto is a global call to action, written by youth, for the world. ✍🌎 Many young writers came together over the weekend to create this year’s climate manifesto which they will then present at COP30 in Brazil!
