yes i LOVE tearing into character's self loathing and depressed sides- i do this with husk from hazbin hotel too- honestly this animation ive finished is the first happier drawing(s) ive done in YEARS, just bc i LARVE angst 💪💪

i know that, at least in the show or comic, he's never seen to be suicidal, but honestly i highkey headcannon he's got bipolar (..mostly bc i see a lot of myself in him and ive got it), and is passively suicidal both when manic and depressed- so that one would be more of my own fanon version of him

there will be at least one plab going through ❤️❤️

- honestly just all of their songs-

and also, "howls and hymns" by viet cuong, it'd be a beautiful piece to draw the more pensive side of his personality- maybe an animatic of how i imagine his backstory to be

also, theres a couple songs i'd want to draw the-

(5)-singing abt how he wants to get murdered by her. if i were to draw it, it'd be rocky breaking down on the bridge, and end with him jumping off

theres also a couple wind band songs i love that'd fit him.

teeth of the mechanism by john mackey would go PERFECT with the scene in the pilot-

(4)-digging up a grave and it'd be more atmospheric

the breakdown about 4 minutes into "poor jackie" by man man, where either its a VERY out of character way rocky sees mitzi, OR, and more likely, i'll turn the "jackie" character in the song into the mississippi river- in the song, the singer is-

(3) and laplaces angel would be.. also about him breaking down)

i'd wanna animate him playing the violin solo in "my drag" by squirrel nut zippers, with mitzi being the one singing

"hometown boy" by asylum street spankers, starting at "well theres an amaco pipeline," it'd be him in the woods-

(2) another is the kinda incomprehensible part of gravity by the dresden dolls- "you can do it! left foot, right foot", where its rocky and ivy running through the field and rocky gets hit by the hearse

(also, for the ideas for the previous two- "calm me down" would be rocky breaking down,

(1) all of it is songs i'd draw him to-

one idea is the end of "calm me down" by mother mother, specifically where it starts at "i wanna be a good man"

another is laplace's angel by will wood- starting at the bridge with "if you wash your hands of where youve been until you flood the second floor

the lyrics are:
