Web dev feels βeasyβ now in a way thatβs kind of dangerous.
You can scaffold something in an afternoon that looks production-ready.
The trap is thinking polish = correctness.
The hard bugs are still hiding in architecture, state, and not using too many Claude Code queries.

One thing Iβve noticed building small tools:
the idea is rarely the hard part.
Itβs deciding what to ignore.
Every time I scope too much, I slow myself down.
Every time I cut aggressively, I actually ship.
Marketing is still the hardest part though
AI hasnβt replaced coding for me.
Itβs replaced the blank page.
The best flow Iβve found is:
β rough idea / pitch to AI
β ugly first pass with Claude and my SaaS Kit
β then tighten, delete, and make it intentional
I avoided self-hosting for years because I assumed itβd be fragile and time-consuming.
In reality:
β VPS up in minutes
β deploy was boring
β Postgres just worked
β I have a more private slice of the internet pie now
Turns out the scary part was mostly vibes.
Every time I come back to Twitter I get hyped by what people are building.
Then immediately stuck choosing:
β new SaaS
β new library
β new TUI
Inspiration is cheap. Picking is the hard part.
Thanks Chaz! Hope you love using it

Ooh how so?
I tried out Pythonx - it's pretty awesome and unlocks some amazing things for Elixir developers.
Here's a write up of what I did (alongside the code obviously)

Has Claude Code or Cursor built anyone here any designs that actually look nice?
I feel like every time I use it to make something look nicer without going through the effort of providing it a reference image, it just outputs some dreamweaver 2004 style design.

How's the bluesky #buildinpublic community doing here?
I have to admit I don't use bluesky as much as X but I think I want to change that.
I'm currently building out:
- getpromptly.app
- mmbl.io
- decided.so (validating)
- tinytales.io (about to launch anyday now!)
Who wants to say hi? π
Developers with a super clean setup - I want to see your workstation and code environment.
Mines a bit messy and I'm looking for inspiration.
There must also be a subreddit for this...
Very cool - have a fair few to throw up on here
How many indie projects are too many?
I'm working on launching tinytales.io
Scoping out a new project idea
Gathering interest for decided.so
And working on an iOS app for mmbl.io
How do people prioritise?
#buildinpublic
Yeah itβll go into reports you can check and thereβll be one notification you can batch (weekly, daily etc) to not be annoying
Working on something pretty cool for anyone that wants to know when something might happen on the internet that impacts their product or business
πΈ Lead Gen
π Competitor Analysis
π Content Discovery
Thoughts? π
#buildinpublic
Most subreddits don't allow self promotion
I want to create a lead generation tool with a twist - how would I validate it before spending lots of time building?
#buildinpublic
π¨ Do you use LLMs during your day to day to chat, edit or summarise content?
Why not if not?
If the answer is it's not painlessly simple to do so, I encourage you to check out Promptly (which has a 7 day free trial and a one off fee - alongside your own API keys).

Promptly is out on Product Hunt today - show me some love and upvote!
Everyone that's used it has given me nothing but positive feedback, let's get it out there!

mmbl.io now has a chrome extension! π
Record a rambling from β¨anywhereβ¨ on the internet and it'll automatically be cleaned up, tagged and turned into a task or note in your mmbl space!
If it's a task it'll be automatically synced to your favourite calendar π

I donβt wanna put a product there, I want to create a product in that space
