Hugh Sexey's Thing

I would be looking for secondary schools that were queer/trans inclusive so if I'd heard that a school was censoring queer books etc. then that would be worrying. But don't think lack of a librarian would override local school where all their mates are going, as Abby says!
Replace every how-to-publish panel with one on the material realities of publishing. This is where Iβm at.
First evening out together without the kids for four years! Had noodles, beer and saw some lesbian ballet (Northern Ballet's 'Gentleman Jack') 10/10 evening π
I mean it wasn't the greatest film ever made but it was an enjoyable family cinema trip I thought
Yes, I don't mind an adult review of a kids film but you have to be open to the kids' perspectives a bit more than that!
Nah it was pretty good
We are truly living in a golden age of content
7yo on kids youtube "Em look, they're making a chocolate QR code!"
My partner just said "is it queer to date an AI" and I really miss the heyday of twitter where you would have been able to amuse yourself for hours reading discourse about just this type of thing
Ah yes, I just have an internal resistance to devils advocate provocations ;-) but it is hard to judge tone when you're not there as well - sounds like an interesting panel.
I guess that's the point of a provocation but academic authors aren't a monolithic group...

Solidarity with the school librarian in this article, subject to disciplinary action and marked as a safeguarding threat for just doing her job :-(
Narrowed eyes from the kids. What IS this? A song by the Libertines that @tigslater.bsky.social used to get dance to when they were 17 you say? Turn it off.
Sometimes my partner and I try and introduce a song into the tightly controlled car playlist and it never goes down well
Join @morphss.bsky.social for their catalogue launch event and panel discussion next week!

Tig has persuaded me it is their "birthday eve" so we can have a beer even though it is monday. Living the high life
haha, maybe I should be glad she didn't get to eleven eggs
happy mothers day - the kids are screaming at each other again and 3yo has embarked on trying to make a cake with real eggs without us noticing πΈπ³
Althouth I am not opposed to the nurse crane / miss higgins detective spin off
Yes! I think she did recover from the lesbian-amnesia but then disappeared and as far as I recollect no other queer women ever emerged...
Not enough lesbians, imo - 15 seasons and they could have fitted some more in
Watched the last epidode of Call the Midwife - end of an era!
Very much looking forward to speaking on a panel with @aileenfyfe.bsky.social and @eve.gd on 'Open Access Books: Rights, Ownership and Control' on Monday 20 April at the London Open Science & Scholarship festival!
