To knit together two stories: through intimidation, litigation & extortion, Trump is clearly trying to create a media ecosystem where nobody asks him about Epstein - or indeed anything discomfiting. There may not be obvious parallels with Jan 6th, conduct-wise, but the message is identical: laws are to be abused in pursuit of Trump’s foes & ignored in relation to his allies. He is telling his base that they can commit crimes with impunity. Fascism 101.

Scotland's future is back in the EU Putting Scotland back in the centre of Europe, as part of the EU will restore access to EU funding schemes that benefit society and business.

This is one of my favourites. Not particularly because it details all the EU programmes that the independent Republic of Scotland could be benefiting from, but the fact that there are so many over such wide areas.

Got a lot of time for the News Agents normally but they never seem to get Scotland. Maybe wishful thinking on their part but I think they’re wrong to assert so confidently that an independent Scotland wouldn’t have been welcomed in the EU and that its economy would have tanked in short order
