After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
Last night a federal judge in L.A. blocked federal agents from DHS from using crowd-dispersal techniques and less-lethal munitions against journalists covering protests. He cited an “avalanche of evidence” that ICE and CBP agents violated First Amendment rights of journalists.
We need stand united against political assassinations, and equally stand strong and united against everyone who attempts to seize on acts of violence as a pretext for repression of political opponents.
Incredibly well-deserved!
