"You're impossibly giddy and slightly nauseated. Your neck is stiff and warm. Your eyes are sensitive to light, you speak like--like you're a little drunk. You never stop yawning. It's going to thunderstorm today... I know what you are."
"Say it. Out loud. Say it!"
"Migraine prodrome."

The Onion plans to turn Infowars into a comedy site with satirical echoes of the fringe conspiracy theories that Mr. Jones is known for. Tim Heidecker, one of the comedians behind “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, has been hired to serve as “creative director of Infowars.” He said he initially plans to parody Mr. Jones’s “whole modus operandi.”
Mr. Heidecker has been working on his impression of Mr. Jones. But eventually, when that joke gets old, Mr. Heidecker said that he hoped to turn Infowars into a destination for independent and experimental comedy.
“I just thought it would be just a beautiful joke if we could take this pretty toxic, negative, destructive force of Infowars and rebrand it as this beautiful place for our creativity,” Mr. Heidecker said in an interview. During a recent trip to Philadelphia, he traveled to the Liberty Bell to film a video in character as the new creative director of Infowars.
Get excited.

I woke up and threw my long, wavy hair in a messy bun and blinked my big blue orbs. When I went downstairs, my mum was sitting with five strange boys.
"Y/N," my mum said, "You've been banned from r/RPG."

teenage me: got it, so we’re obviously on the side of the government

Unionized ProPublica staff are on strike over AI, layoffs, and wages
A key issue is protections against layoffs from AI
New: 150 unionized ProPublica workers are on strike TODAY over AI, layoff protections, wages, and more.
They're asking readers to not visit ProPublica or engage with content on other platforms. It's the first work stoppage of its kind at the newsroom.

The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don’t know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you. And our governments are very much the same.

“A whole civilization will die tonight” is the most vile thing a US president has ever said, certainly during the post-1945 era when they’ve had the power to kill civilizations with the dropping of a bomb. I’m staring into the darkness. May this not be one of the most fateful days in human history.

This is to say that game designers contribute a million times more to theory by simply producing a game, not blogging about it...

It's good to know your theory for sure
But also being a researcher philosopher and being a game designer are two different things, and you don't need to be both to engage with your field of choice.

To my younger writer friends:
Start keeping a list of what you’ve published, where & when, no matter how inconsequential the zine or collection may feel because there will come a time when you will legit not remember where half your stuff was printed over the years
Or maybe that’s just me 🤷🏻
