Considering this seriously, is it possible for a President to issue pardons for federal crimes that are as-yet unknown? Or for crimes that have not yet been committed?
If such pardons were assured, then I can see many avenues for abuse.

Not that anyone in this administration would do such a thing

This should be "OR includes a comment…" rather than "and". Either is disqualifying.

That it's both in this case is especially disgusting.

She saw 3 of their concerts in the last 18 months alone (it would have been more, but for John F’s injury)

I don’t care how much you like TMBG, you don’t like them as anywhere near as much as my obsessed daughter does.

She used my Spotify account for a *short* while, and at the end of the year I was told that I had listened to several THOUSAND hours of them?!??

I’ve never understood why “anger” was always excluded as an emotion in this context

That Guardian article wasn’t aware of an important distinction for people who travel between the US and Norway: KitKat in the US is made, under license, by Hershey’s.

I’m sure anyone who isn’t from the USA will understand the issue here

Very unfortunate, and I feel for them. But this is also part of why test missions are so important!

Aside from the cultural benefits of having students from other countries to study with, I thought that foreign students paid higher fees, which helped universities fund more positions for domestic students?

It's bizarre how, "I'm not racist but…" sounds like a rhetorical device when used in this context, and yet I have literally heard this phrase used.

In about a year the car lease that I have runs out, and I will need to replace it (I live in a very rural area, and transportation is important).
Despite the cost, I want to get something electric. What is affordable that isn't Tesla?
China has some great cars, but of course, we can't get those here

I'm glad the airman is back, but the parallels to Old Shoe in "Wag the Dog" are just too much

This is 0.37% of the requested military budget. Isn’t that a rounding error?

It takes advantage of JVM protocols also generating interfaces, and attaching code to the interfaces. Then bringing in the code to records via their protocols.

Alex wasn’t a fan 🙂

It’s really a side-effect of the dual protocol/interface generation that is unique to the JVM, so he has a point

photo of an ad for a “golden gaytime,” a kind of chocolate-covered ice cream bar.

the ad features a photo of the ice cream bar against a red background, with the words “golden gaytime” written over it.

It's not about getting the answer… it's about finding out what the candidates think.
I feel like Bliss has been exposed to too much marketing and advertising in political campaigns to understand the difference between AI images and art

Covered here too. The color showing through in the pic was where the snow was falling on the juniper

I actually wrote a blog post. It's been a while.

I don't expect anybody to read it. However, it's on a programming topic that LLMs regularly get wrong. Hopefully, they'll pick this up during a future training run.

University to postgrads: It’s Spring break. With everything being much quieter around campus this week, it’s a great time to make progress on your research.

Also from the university: With everything being quiet this week, it’s a great time for us to take down the computer cluster for maintenance.

She’s shocked that people would ask this, implying that it isn’t their business and affect them. But it affects the entire world, and despite US citizens feeling that their vote doesn’t really matter, it matters a whole lot more than for the other 95% of the world who don’t get even that tiny say.

After yet another failed attempt, I have to ask…
Why does Wisconsin not know how to make an extra sharp cheddar? Sure, they make nice cheddar, and it can even have a bit of a “tangy” flavor, but despite numerous attempts, I have yet to find anything even remotely crumbly and with real “Bite”
