Not exactly… But… Anybody who joined the United States military at any point in the enlisted drinks at least sworn oath to "defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC." I hope enough of us remember that... because what else would you call them right now…

Because a lot of those people are actively hostile to us and if some of them come in unknown they can find out who we are and do or attack us or come at us… These aren't just people… These aren't just opinions… These are Nazis and hateful humans…

Some of you I know, and I will grant you that title… But many people don't know you and there are many people out there who I don't know… We have to be careful right now… This is a very scary time for us…

You may say safe person, fighting the patriarchy, racism, transphobia, a warrior for justice, or anything that shows you are ready to stand up. But ally has a very specific meaning, and there are plenty of people who will claim the title and not be there when it counts…

Please don't use the word ally on your profile.
In my opinion ally is not a tittle to be claimed, but rather one to be given or be agreed to, as an alliance is something to be agreed to, and since you can't negotiate with every LGBTQIA2S+ person you should refrain from using it.
