To understand and improve children’s wellbeing, we need to measure it.

The Children’s Society have called for a National Wellbeing Measurement, to provide this crucial information. Thankfully, we’re making progress.

Screenshot from a whatsapp message reading: Whilst out walking with my 16 year old daughter, we saw a man collapse and fall off the wall he had been sat on, knocking me down in the process!

My daughter stayed calm and took complete control of the situation - talking to him and reassuring him until the ambulance arrived.

Seeing her step up with such confidence gave me real hope for the future. Young people are ready to lead with care and courage.

Here’s some hope.

Today, we’re celebrating a decade of supporting young people and families in Birmingham.

Pause's drop-in wellbeing support has reached over 24,500 young people. That's something worth sharing.

Almost 1 in 10 children have low life satisfaction.

Zack was one of them, feeling overwhelmed with anxiety.

Our wellbeing drop-in gave him support when he needed it, so he didn’t have to wait longer for help.

Help us support more young people like Zack: https://ow.ly/bfTk50YFA52

We’re deeply concerned that proposed changes to settlement rules could put more children at risk of poverty & instability.

We’re urging the Government to stay true to their efforts to reduce child poverty & ensure children’s wellbeing is at the heart of policy

The two-child limit is officially gone.

Scrapping this policy has finally come into effect, lifting 450,000 children out of poverty by the end of this parliament.

Thank you to everyone across the sector who campaigned for this change 🧡

Too many young people don’t feel like they can be themselves.

Every child should feel heard and included. Celebrating neurodiversity in young people helps all young people thrive.

Today’s poverty stats might look better on paper. But don't be fooled. It's a change in how the data is collected, not in children’s lives.

It's unacceptable that in the UK, 4 million children are still growing up in poverty.

We need legally binding targets to end child poverty once and for all.

If misogyny is normalised, women & girls are at higher risk of danger.

The manosphere exposes young people to sexist narratives, which can translate into harmful behaviours, from harassment to assault.

Young people forced into fraud are victims - not criminals.

The government’s new fraud strategy is an opportunity to tackle this form of child exploitation, and we are proud to be able to contribute.

We're working with the Home Office to expand support for children being financially exploited.

As a teenager, Zack struggled with his mental health.

He was taught that boys didn’t talk about their feelings, so he kept everything inside.

When he got support at The Children’s Society, he finally found a safe space to open up.
