De datum is bepaald! Op 23 juni aanstaande zal ik mijn State Doctoral Exam afleggen, direct gevolgd door de Defence!

I have just learned from the Ceny Scientia Foundation in Prague that I am being awarded a special prize for the best scientific work by students of the First Faculty of Medicine at @charlesuni.cuni.cz in Prague, published in 2025, in the PhD category! Thank you very much! It is a great honour!

Zo, eindelijk alle stukken naar Praag voor de laatste twee examens, waaronder een zogenoemd Autoreferát. Nu eindelijk even rust en wachten op de uitnodiging.

In Prague, you can fail. In The Netherlands, you are already doctor when the supervisor and board says yes. The defence is only a formality. In Prague, you must pass the State Doctoral Exam and the Defence to really be "gepromoveerd", promoted to doctor. The unforseen questions worry me.

What tips can you give me for the Defence? I am worried that I struggle due to the fear of failing. I want to pass the first time
