That is just like... a really interesting premise.

So the backstory of this game is that humanity accidentally created an airborne virus that reduced their intelligence to the point where they couldn't function, wiping them out, but it boosted the intelligence of all other animals, so now they're trying to restore all the infrastructure and rebuild.

The kind of book series where the main character literally gets charged with war crimes at the end.

They’ve done the first six books, though it has been a year now with no word on the seventh, so who knows where it’s at?
