Good morning!
Yesterday was a good day. Hoping that today brings the same. Got a good workout in for the first time in forever and I'm feeling sore today.
Hope your week is going well!

A screenshot from Chainstaff. The word "Decide!" is spotlighted. There are three choices: Suck their brains, Eat their heart, or Rescue them.
I mean, how can you not love a game that gives you a choice like this?

Game #4: Chainstaff
This game is awesome. It's a 2D side-scrolling run and gun with a cool grappling hook. Feels like Turrican had a baby with Bionic Commando and then dressed it up in old Heavy Metal comics.
It rules so hard and the soundtrack is pure old-school metal vibes.

Game #3: Super Mario Bros Wonder
Mario doesn't miss.
A great addition to the 2D Mario lineup. The Wonder Flowers are the stars of the show here, shaking up the formula in fun and interesting ways.
My only complaint is that some of the new power-ups fell a bit flat.
This is probably the best game of 2025.
The 2.3 update just launched a few days ago and I'm hoping to go back soon and get the rest of the endings I missed along with the new content.
If you like turn-based RPGs and/or horror, I strongly recommend this game.

Game #2: Look Outside
This game has the juice. Turn-based RPG goodness mixed with Survival Horror. Plus a rare example of cosmic horror done right.
It's also packed to the brim with secrets and funny as hell. And the art? There are so many unique sprites and they're all horrible (complimentary).
Good morning friends. Hope you're all doing well on this Monday and you've got a good week ahead of you.
I'm hoping for a chill no-surprises kind of week. We'll see if the universe feels like I deserve that, haha.
Have a good one!
Nonary games go hard. I still gotta go back and finish the third one someday.
She was probably watching Dan da Dan. I can't think of many other anime where testicles play that large of a role.
You compensate mostly by using Six-Sided Star when you have to disconnect for a period, but it's still tricky.
Unfortunately, doesn't share gear with VPR, so I don't play it as much as I'd like.
Monk is my second favourite DPS job. Fewer positionals than VPR (because all jobs have fewer positionals than VPR), but the two-minute burst is trickier and more satisfying. Plus the lack of a ranged attack means you really have to plan out your disconnects.
Hello friends!
Hope your week has started well. Trying to break out of the weird mood I've been in for the past few weeks.
Feeling okay today. We'll see if I can keep it up.
Have a good one!
It's because Royal Thief is completely busted, haha. It felt like basically a requirement to get me through the toughest fights.
Shadow of the Colossus and it's not close.
#5 How to Make a Killing
This movie was ok. It felt like it wanted to have its cake and eat it too.
The murder setups were the best part for sure. The overall story was meh.
#4. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die
This was a lot of fun! Gets overly silly and falls apart a bit in the third act, but overall was a good time.
The mid-film vignettes were probably the best part of the whole film.
Anti-AI messaging was also very appreciated, if a bit heavy handed.
That's the upside of living on Dynamis. Housing is much easier to get thanks to the lower population.
Enjoy your new house!
Doing as much yourself is a great way to save gil. I make most of my own stuff as well. I do buy current pots and food because they're a hassle and I go through so much.
The first season of Tower of God is quite good as well, though I felt like it dropped off a lot after that.
Plus, S3 hasn't been announced yet and there's a lot of material left, so that's a concern for me.
Stampede and Gnosia are both very fun with the caveat that I haven't quite finished either yet.
Gnosia takes a while to really get into gear, especially if you're familiar with social deduction games. They spend an inordinate amount of time explaining things
Great once it gets going though!
I agree on mid-season breaks though. Those can fuck off, haha.
Yeah, my wife much prefers binging too, so I get it. I just prefer sitting on things, letting them stew, and writing down how I feel about it. I also feel like weekly releases are better for discussion and fan theories, which I enjoy a lot.
But, to each their own. Neither is wrong, just different.
I'm in the opposite camp, haha. I much prefer the old-school weekly cadence.
It seems like it varies from show to show and service to service these days. Netflix, Hulu and Peacock seem to still batch release most of their shows. Apple TV never does as far as I can tell.
Thanks! You too! Have a good week!
Good morning!
Wish my office had a four-day week. Enjoy the extra day off!!
There's also a really great official web app with voice and video support if it's easier for you to get folks together online than in person.
The main downside of BotC is that you need a storyteller to run the game and you need a fair-sized number of people to really make it sing. 7 + the storyteller is probably the minimum.
If you like social deduction games like Avalon and you haven't already tried it, I'd recommend Blood on the Clocktower.
It's closer to Werewolf than Avalon, but there's so much replay value and depth there. Everyone gets a special role so no one has to feel sad about having no powers.
A screenshot of a Google Sheets workbook titled 'Wishlist'. The first row says "Count:" and the cell to the right of it said 2018. Fuck me, that's too many. Oh God, what am I gonna do?
One of us. One of us. One of us.
