Your response is spot on here. I think it’s also worth pointing out that many in the MAGA cult were quick to paint Ashli Babbitt as a martyr after she stormed the capital and tried to break through a window into a restricted area. That people don’t recognize the double-standard here is telling.

Yes—definitely relatable! The past couple of years, I’ve definitely noticed the holiday fluctuations. Thankfully, my general practitioner was very low-key when I mentioned it. Like, “eh—we’re always shifting 5-10 pounds one direction or another.” I’m appreciative of efforts to normalize that.
